By means not the perfect game, but a pretty good game for one that is free.

Probably the best Star Wars game outside of the Knights of the Old Republic series.

Live by the Sword. Die by the Sword. I expected the best from this title and it over-delivered.

If you don't know how to use it in this game, you are likely dead. It plays a lot differently from other souls titles where a lot of battles are done through parry and precise striking.

Every fight is fun and boss fights are rewarding.

I will start off and say that I definitely recommend this game.

9/10. High Marks for me.

This game is way better than I expected. The graphics, game play, smooth mechanics, simplicity are all there. The difficulty however is something that is not for everyone. The developers should not have an easy mode for you. You will die. I mean, die A LOT. Remember when I said the mechanics were smooth? The game quickly demands that you master the mechanics quicker, a lot quicker, than most games. Trial by fire.

The only thing I'd say knocks the game down by 1 mark is that fact that the game is shorter than I thought. Well worth the price of admission. Check it out!

After finishing the story mode and logging in once in a while to do quests I find this game to be very dry and lacking compared to the old Duels of the Planeswalker games. That's not to say that the older games weren't dry and lacking in the first place; Magic Duels takes what was missing in the old games and hams them up but also completely missing what the old game excelled in. You are able to 'create' your own deck in a limited format. As of this writing, only Magic Origins, Zendikar, Gatewatch and Innistrad. It's kind of standard but not really? Did I mention that you only have 6 cards per booster and that you can buy coins to purchase more boosters. You can theoretically get all the cards without paying but... that's is a long, long process. You're still missing a lot of fun modes from previous games like Archenemy and a more comprehensive 2HG mode. Also, let's not get into the glitches that Stainless Games has maintained over the years.

Unless you're okay with grinding to get new packs to hopefully brew a half decent deck and want to get your free MTG fix, I wouldn't recommend this game.
