cool concept (though not very realistic with depictions of climate change) and interesting gameplay, but I've found that I have to hyper-optimize everything in order for any real progress to be made. It's also just not very clear what the different actions you can take require, and what their impacts will be. I think a lot of it comes down to luck and it can make it really difficult to enjoy because it doesnt FEEL like its supposed to be a luck-based game.

You get threatened with a ban if you type "poo poo pee pee". I'm not even joking. Try it.

Early Access Review
This game, as you can probably tell, is made by and for a very specific audience. However, this game's merits transcend that line. It's simply a good game.

The most interesting and integral mechanic is fat. The main character starts out small and thin, and you can increase or decrease his weight through a variety of mechanics. Food, inhaling, and certain enemies will increase your fat level. As the number gets higher, you get larger and stronger,
but less agile. Furthermore, spells cost fat. There is no penalty for having 0 fat. It simply means you can't cast spells, and you are a little weaker than you could be. Exceeding the fat limit, however leads to your character EXPLODING. He's a spirit-possessed plushie toy, however, so it's not graphic, just kinda silly.

There are different kinds of fat. Food is used for healing and spells. You lose it as you do attacks- other than groundslams. Air goes down over time, and is essentially free- just inhale really hard! Slime blocks your spells, but lets you glow in dark places, and doesn't go down on its own. It can be good if you are just looking to use strong melee attacks. There's also possession- it's an obstacle that appears in just a level or two. I kinda wish it had a bit more to it,

The music is great. Even the songs that I didn't enjoy are constructed in such a way that they
are catchy and give the right atmosphere. My favorite song is probably "To The Sky", which gives a feeling of adventure and triumph.

The platforming is pretty solid. It's not too complex, but it's fun to try to reach platforms with
carefully timed wall-jumps and aerial attacks. Later in the game, you get a double jump, which takes away some of the challenge, but allows for some backtracking for rewards.

Now, I do have some criticisms of this game, but they aren't many or significant.
Although the game is very close to final release, I will include some of my suggestions,
because it's fun to think of solutions to (perceived?) problems.

-Sound effects
A few sound effects, like the coin sound, sound a bit... stock? They might not be, I'm not really sure. The audio balancing between some sounds also feel a bit off.

-Weight levels and combat
I feel that the weight levels don't have enough impact on your damage output. I might be wrong, but considering that your damage output is partially random (You tend to do 7-12 damage as small Munch with no upgrades), it's a bit hard to tell. I would suggest increasing the lower damage limit a bit more as Munch gains weight levels.
More consistent higher damage could be nice. In addition, you don't get combo-finisher attacks at weight level 4 and above. Combo-finisher attacks do a bit more damage than normal attacks. However, high weight Munch does a TON of groundslam damage, so it's probably not really a big deal at all. It's a bit too easy to exploit some bosses by repeatedly groundslamming them while they are against walls, too. Maybe make them dodge after a certain number of groundslams. I don't know, just a thought.

-Weight and mobility
It makes sense that, in a game about becoming very large, this could have some downsides. I agree with this concept, as it makes small Munch worth playing as. However, I find that a bit too many locations require you to be able to wall jump or jump high to access. At weight category 4 and above, you are locked out of quite a few areas. Now, you can easily lose that weight in just a few seconds, but I think it would be cool if maybe a spell could help you with jumping. I have two ideas: Swallowing a lot of air could maybe help you jump higher.
The other idea: There's already a mini-game where Munch inflates and flies up in the air. Maybe that could be a spell? It could use air as fuel, rather than food. That would be cool, as it would give an incentive to use different types of fat. It could be dangerous to use this spell if your fat is too high, as you'd need to inhale more. Alternatively, if it were to cost food, it would drain a bit of your fat.

-Grabbing-type enemies
Some enemies will grab you. You have to button-mash to get out. Maybe make it so that at higher difficulty levels, you have to use specific buttons, not just any. So, like, you need to press attack, but then after a second or two you have to press jump. The ghosts though are already challenging a lot of the time though.

-Antialiasing. The antialiasing makes the game look a bit blurry. Having more antialiasing options could be cool. Nearest-neighbor, bicubic... uhh. I don't know much about anti-aliasing, but there are a ton of algorithms for it.

-This isn't a flaw by any means, but: Playable Slime Munch. I NEED it. Badly... pleeeeaase?

Overall, this game is pretty awesome. I've enjoyed it WAY too much. Even if the subject matter is strange or simply disinteresting to you, which is entirely understandable, it's got solid gameplay and solid music. I'd recommend giving it a look either way. I hope more stuff like this comes out in the future, and I'm hyped for full release. I'm gonna play on the highest difficulty and try to get the other endings.

Monitoring chat is pretty "epic". This isn't even a political thing. Listen, monitoring personal communications is the governments job, we don't need any more cooks in the kitchen.
