I'm not a Harry Potter fan, never got into the books. My wife is a huge fan though but not a gamer at all. Both of us are completely enraptured by this wonderful game. They have absolutely knocked it out the park. I think no one was really expecting a game of this quality. Witcher 3 is my favourite game and as I play Hogwarts Legacy I keep thinking back to that game, and how this is essentially Witcher 3: Hogwarts edition. It's of that high quality to draw such a comparison, its actually a better game in terms of gameplay. The gameplay, combat system, mini games, brewing potions, collecting animals, outfitting your home, exploration, graphics, its all absolutely top notch stuff. It really is such a shame that such commotion has been drawn to this game, and I cant help but feel like some of the less than positive reviews have been all in bad faith, ignoring the game for its own merits and simply joining in with the outrage culture of today. Ignore the noise, this game is Game of the Year. If your an RPG fan, its a must buy, if you're a Harry Potter fan.... I can only imagine what it must feel like to be engrossed in the world through this game. If they could make an IP game of this quality for LoTR i'd be in heaven. 10/10 Must Buy

Addictive gameplay. Plays like a board game, not a video game. If you're into board games you'll know what I mean. It's a very thoughtful, slow paced strategy game of hand management and trying to anticipate turns. I love the board game but it's a real hassle to set up and a huge table hog. This plays out very nicely and takes care of all the fiddlyness without loosing the feeling of the board game. Usually i'd take the board over a screen any day but I find i've loved every minute of playing this.
