Fun, short, very chill, sort of linear but open world story game to play through over the weekend. It took me 7 hours to 100% and explore everything. Honestly, that's enough for a labour of love like this without anything overstaying its welcome. :D
A lot of the dialogue was kind of janky with the translation, but I've played the metro games so I wasn't bothered at all lol

Most immersive and fun extraction shooter I've played, clocked in 50 hours before the game even came out lol.

Update:
After playing 100 hours and reaching max level, content does run out eventually.

The lack of duo queue makes playing with my friend absolute misery with most teams I meet having 3, forcing us to never engage unless we have an incredible advantage. Duo queue has been implemented! Solo games still have way too many players, so running into people playing extremely cautiously is a constant. Squad games also have a lot of players, so starting a fight often devolves into finding myself standing on 20 bodies at the end of the game.

AI also tends to just start cheating once they're fully alerted, with rocketeers instantly switching targets to a hiding player that it never even knew was there, OR at the other end of the spectrum, ignoring an enemy standing 5 meters from it's face. It's slightly annoying when it happens but most people probably won't even notice it happening.

This game also has some of the worst servers/netcode of any game I've played. I have deaths behind corners as my number one cause of death, ranging from half a second to 2 full seconds.

Overall, it's a REALLY fun game for the first 100 or so hours until you complete every drop of content and start to see the major flaws with it's pvp. But those flaws are something embark is actively working on. (Edit: I've had to delete some of my points in the review multiple times now because those issues have been acted on)
I think the game is absolutely fantastic and it's up there as one of my all time favourite games.

Removing some of the soul and disturbing details in the game after stating you don't want to cave and censor your game is crazy.

It's a shadow of it's former self, many better games out now so it's not worth spending your time and money on this slop.

I used to love the game having played from day 0, even dipping my toes in the competetive scene. Now, it's just not worth it.

Disclaimer: Treat this game like Outer Wilds, because in my opinion it's best experienced blind.

First game I've pre-ordered a game since The Divison 2 and I'm blown away by how fantastic the game is so far. You're put into a world you don't belong in, with dangers just like in Roadside Picnic.
The game has an incredibly rich atmosphere and very good voice work between the characters. All combined with the fantastic driving model and raid based gameplay loop that makes the story progress at a good pace, making every run into the zone fresh with new dialogue.
I also greatly enjoyed upgrading my base and car with upgrades that physically show up. All the small details like the aforementioned upgrades and how you interact with every different part of your garage and car are very immersive.
The graphics look great, while being stylistic they somehow manage to look realistic in a lot of scenes. My pc also has an easy time running it at over 100 fps with DLSS Quality using a 2080 super.

You will have to interact with your car similar to how my summer car does it (only a lot less jank). So if you don't like having to stop/start your car and put it in drive every time you get out and collect items, this game might not be for you.

The game uses a ring 0 anticheat but aside that and the slightly less than optimal performance, it's probably the most fantastic coop game along the side of Deep Rock Galactic with plenty of difficulty and lots of freedom to spread around. The progression of unlocking new cooler stratagems and weapons is great.

The monetization is awesome and purchasing the "warbond" lets you keep it even if a new one comes around. I made enough premium currency in 20 hours to purchase the 10€ warbond, which I love.

The community for this game is something amazing.

Good god this game is way too good. The devs are also some of the best in the industry.

Playing the game on steam after beating it on epic games a while ago. I fell in love with it again right away, it charms me with it's visuals, story and the Janitor, perkele.

The best thing about this game for me is how interesting every singe collectible I've picked up is. I've read every single one, which is odd since I normally don't enjoy reading mid gameplay. There's also plenty of tapes and videos to watch, all of which are top notch in terms of quality.

The combat is fantastic and really makes you feel powerful, but at the same time fragile as some times one mistake could draw your health down to the brink, but still managing to come back granted you don't make more mistakes. The enemy variety is also fantastic, with plenty of differences in attack patterns and their ability to dodge certain attacks. Weapons some times do feel weak compared to just using launch, but getting weapon mods and unlocking the mod slots alleviates this.

All in all, fantastic game and probably my favorite. Can't wait for Control 2.

Definitely jumped up to being one of my favorite games. Took me 9 hours to get the first ending and about 15 hours to 100%. I loved the story and the feeling of discovering all the gameplay elements over time. This game is like Outer Wilds, better experienced going in blind.

Such an amazing game, it's the battlefield we deserve but never got. The only thing I regret is not having enough money to support the patreon before. <3
