This feels like the TRUE sequel we wanted with Dying Light 2. The combat and Parkour feel like the perfect blend of what made DL1 feel so smooth to run around and chain movement to get around quickly, as well as combat where you can really feel the weight of every punch and swing.

For a DLC turned entire game, some remnants of DL2 and noticeable, but they don't take away from the core gameplay in the slightest. I think Techland have really redeemed themselves with this magnificent 3rd installment in the series and 150% worth picking up if you're a Dying Light fanatic [like myself] or completely new to Dying Light. Just be sure to make Gazi's mom happy, because if mama ain't happy. Nobody happy.

When the young boy saw me sitting on the sofa with a bottle of whiskey in my hand, he decided it was the perfect time to ask the question that had been burning in his mind for weeks: "Grandpa, what was your time fighting in the galactic war like?" As a veteran helldiver, who had seen way too much, I began to tell my grandson the story of the 134th Galactic War, my voice haunted and eyes distant.

My scarred and wrinkled face grew serious as I took a sip from the bottle. "Listen to me," I said, leaning forward to make sure the boy was paying attention. "The 134th Galactic War was the most brutal conflict in the history of mankind. I saw things that I can never forget, things that haunt my nightmares even now." I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself before continuing.

"I saw entire planets destroyed, millions of lives lost in a matter of moments. I saw ships torn apart by laser beams and artillery attacks, and I saw the brave souls who manned them die in the cold, dark void of space." My voice trembling as I spoke. " The casualties were countless, and the destruction the Automatons left in their wake was unfathomable. They never showed mercy, and our forces were not above brutal tactics themselves. It was a dirty war, with no rules and no honor. Many like myself returned home scarred, both physically and psychologically. I lost many friends and saw many more fall to the horrors of war. " The Grandpa spoke, his voice heavy and worn.

The boy listened in awe as his grandfather continued to describe the horrors of the war. I told stories of planet wide battles so fierce that they blocked out the skies and stars, and I described the alien menace who had come to consume everything in the galaxy.

"We fought against impossible odds, against a plethora of enemies that were stronger and faster than anything we had ever known," I continued. "But we also fought alongside the bravest soldiers you could ever imagine, men and women who would give their lives to protect Super Earth and their loved ones. We were like a family out there, and we depended on each other to survive." Those honorable individuals will never be forgotten....
