Brilliant game, so much to do. I love the storyline, the characters and the various events. I have played over 40 hrs and will keep playing!! Crafting, fighting, mining, farming, missions, relationship building... what's not to love?! This game takes everything that was great about My Time At Portia and builds and improves on it. I am thoroughly looking forward to multiplayer!

I will always try to be honest about anything I don't like but I honestly can't think of a thing I don't like about this game, it runs very smooth, no bugs or issues in the 40 hrs I have played. The graphics are great, its a fun immersive game that you can sink endless hours into.

Thoroughly enjoyable game, tons of crafting, hunting, fishing and exploring, One to play if you like the survival genre. This game has a nice storyline to it with lore and areas to discover and piece together. The islands and sea are vibrant with plenty to explore and the game runs smooth as a nut for me. Off world exploring on a raft, searching for new islands, biomes and resources is a nice touch. I can't really find fault with this game, I have played for 8 hrs on the playtest so far and have wishlisted the game... its a keeper!

I have been following this game's development for some time, my first experience of it was playing the Demo during the games festival. I have since been playing the Prologue during Beta testing. The storyline is really enjoyable. The content is engaging and allows for creativity from the player. The devs have been very responsive to resolving any bugs during beta testing and very welcoming of suggestions for game content and adjustments from the community. If you want a fun, lighthearted but engaging survival game then Mr Prepper should absolutely be on your list.

I have over 800 hrs in this game and that is saying something... I started playing during Alpha 13 and then had to stop after Alpha 15 as my laptop could not handle A16... I only started back playing with my new rig in November.. Every Alpha bought out by The Fun Pimps makes this game feel brand new... the challenges are real, the crafting, building and survival are a joy... the zombies - well - until this game I never thought I would enjoy a zombie smashing game but it converted me. There are the odd bugs with each Alpha as is to be expected but the Devs are quick to address these. The game is so much fun and has to be top of your list for a post apocalyptic survival game!

I was very excited when I heard about this game and couldn't wait to try it out, however due to the negative feedback regarding the server issues I almost passed it by. I was convinced to give it a go by a friend and can honestly say that in the last 48 hrs I have had no issues whatsoever. The max I have cued for the EU server is 38 seconds, the game runs very smoothly, the tutorial is great and I find the crafting and tech trees very nicely done. A charming game... well worth the investment

I bought this game a couple of years ago and since then have notched up close to 1000 hours after probably a break of six months or so, I felt drawn back recently.

For those who don't know, DS comes in essentially four formats - vanilla (Original DS), Reign of Giants - more challenges more environmental hazards, DS Together (Multiplayer) and Shipwrecked.

DS is a quirky and fun survivalist game, the Tim Burton style graphics are part of the significant charm of Don't Starve. Arriving in a world with nothing, you must forage, build a base camp, hunt, trap, fish and farm... all the time exploring whilst preparing for battle with the bosses and the harsh weather conditions of the next seasons whilst trying to keep the nightmares away.

There are multiple characters to play as, having different strengths and weaknesses and their own unique charm.

There are many different ways to play this game, you can be an animal lover, just living off what you can farm, or hunt down the various animals in game for a meatier diet. You can have a central base or live a more nomadic lifestyle with perhaps smaller satalite bases dotted around the world. There is an adventure mode and also the ability to decamp and travel to a newly generated world when you get bored of your current one. Since the launch of DS shipwrecked it is now possible to link a DS Reign of Giants world to a Shipwrecked world, allowing you the ability to world hop back and forth and enjoy two different worlds within one game.

The world is extensive, and comes with significant customisation options to allow you to design bespoke worlds to suit your game play, in addition to this the modding community have gone to town with this game, providing all kinds of bolt on mods including additional bosses/beasts and characters for gamers to enjoy.

When I stumbled across this beauty on a Youtube video, I knew immediately that I wanted it. I died so many times in the first few weeks and I remember the first time I made it to day 21 in DS and the start of Winter, only to spend a pitiful 2 days by the fire with no warm clothing and no means to make it far enough to find the resources to make the clothing... cue another frustrating death. Fortunately, one of the best parts of this game is that starting over is as engaging as being 100 + days in, the battle against time to prepare for what's to come, the flexibility of world hopping when this world becomes a chore or over run with spider queens or stripped of resources....

The thought that has gone into DS is brilliant, its a game that is gripping, fun and challenging. Don't be fooled though by its cute quirky graphics... you will die lots, you will laugh, cry, threaten to throw your computer through the window... and you will love it. It really is a game that will provide endless hours of ammusment. I can highly reccomend.
