Mewgenics is a roguelike meowsterpiece.

Only Edmund and Tyler are capable of taking a concept as offensive as watching cats bang and turning it into a polished, deep, and endlessly replayable indie game hit. While the game’s striking Flash-era visual style might be a bit grating to a younger audience, those alive for the internet’s golden era will appreciate the nostalgia in the game’s presentation.

So if you can stomach the rotten humour throughout Mewgenics, prepare to feast on a feline smorgasbord that will leave you feeling bloated and satisfied for months to come.

An idle game with an addictive amphibian twist - Ribbit Ranch is simple, satsifying, and strangely calming. With a gameplay loop that slowly introduces you to a range of mechanics, after a few days of playing you'll likely find yourself hooked on finding as many frog combinations as possible.

I'm usually not big on idle games, but I've really enjoyed my time playing Ribbit Ranch. Finding ways to make my tanks more efficient (and profitable) is massively satisfying, and the added minigames to breed and race frogs are an adorable touch that give me Tamagotchi vibes.

For competitive types, the game also features an online leaderboard to rank the hourly incomes of all players. I've been slowly climbing the ladder since starting, and this aspect of the game will definitely be a motivator for some players.

Also plays great on Steam Deck!

More enjoyable than a real life pokie machine, with the same level of addiction. Seeing big number will give you an instant dopamine hit, guaranteed.

Simplicity is Dice of Kalma’s key strength. Blending approachable gameplay with stylish minimalist design, Pepperbox Studios have created a roguelike that scratches the post-Balatro itch, even if just for a moment.

While its gameplay loop may only be briefly entertaining for more skilled players, the concept holds great potential for further updates, and is well worth its price point. With three games under their belt in less than a year, there’s no denying that this niche Finnish studio is rolling the dice in their favour.

Impactful and experimental horror unlike anything else you've ever experienced.

PROXIMATE is a one-shot unnerving narrative that relies almost solely on audio. With the player exploring an abandoned scientific facility deep below the ocean surface, the only remnants of its employees are scattered across text logs and squelching floors.

PROXIMATE is indie horror that leaves just the right amount to the imagination.

Charming, wholesome, and delightfully creative.
Playing Rita feels like a warm hug. <3

By drawing upon the beloved pastime of crosswords and word searches, Rita invites players into an adorable, cozy world where you take control of a recently hatched chick as it explores its tropical home. Every segment of the game is creatively driven by word puzzles, requiring you to collect letters, interact with the world, and reconstruct your environment in order to progress.

Rita is also is interwoven with a charming and wholesome narrative that draws upon the developer’s own relationship with his grandmother, whose kind-hearted nature is at the centre of the game. Delicately balancing approachability with challenge, every puzzle in the demo feels fair, but left you with a distinct satisfaction.

Very excited to see more of Rita and see more big adventures from this little chicklet!

Bean Beasts is yet another stand-out indie that showcases the talent of a solo developer. While it doesn’t shy away from its inspirations, it manages to create a compelling and challenging strategy game that will please any fan of the tower defense genre.

Packed with plenty of worthwhile content and vibrant charm, this is an indie gem that deserves a spot in your Steam library. And as the developer’s debut title, I’d be keen to see this evolve into something even bigger.
