One of the best Roguelites I've ever played. Gets you the same combo rush Balatro does but in a much more extensive and exciting way.

Item builds and combos are easy to pick up but have a lot of potential for optimization. Theres more to this game than just "gambling" build and strategy are 90% of playing this game, its not just random chance. I love it.

You can't stop playing once you pick it up.


Edit: After playing for a few more hours I can better understand what other reviews are saying. Once you escape for the first couple of times you quickly understand how to win and doing that means its "too easy" to win, and theres not enough incentive to keep going.

Once the game feels like its just starting it has already ended. I would have loved some type of second level that is harder or much more "endgame" content. I've done pretty much all the content except for unlocking all charms (which just requires you to play a lot) and its a bit of a shame.

Still a great game, just not one with all that high replayablity.



My Suggestion: Make it harder! Rerolling the shop should be SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive, its WAAAAAY too easy to force the same build every game once you get going. If you really had to work with what you are given the game would be a lot more challenging and encourage a more "work with what you are given" play pattern that I think would work best.

Venba is a fantastic game. My favourite of the "cozy game where you do something while being told a story" genere.
The story was heartfelt and touching, it really clicked with me. Other games didn't really bring out the feelings in me like this one quite did.

Recipies are real! You get a cookbook with real recipies in case any of the dishes struck your fancy, they all seem really tasty, you can almost smell them in your mind.


The price could be steep for some seeing its rather short but if you can get it in a sale its a must play for me.

Game has severe launch issues, its sending my pc into a crisis every time I boot it up, both my screens flickering and messing with my resolution.

I was able to overcome that and try the game out, looks very cool with a super unique aura that charms you in immediately.


However, I cannot keep playing as the FOV is so low it makes me incredibly dizzy. I am not someone that gets motion sick playing games but I just cannot with this one.

Game is good, just a warning, as it stands I cant recomend it due to its launch issues and the fov thing which for me is pretty major. Either way, its free and cool.

Bought into the reviews hype and what a BIG let down. Despite my playtime, I regret this.

I pushed countless hours and runs intro trying to solve the secret to room 46 like a maniac, just to be extremely disapointed once I got there.

Barely any secret you solve actually matters, all you get are some small upgrades here and there that past the very first few, have little impact on your game.


I wish I had known that all the time I spent trying to solve every room and its secrets would be for nothing. The secrets don't lead to discover room 46, just a couple of random discoveries do, you find out just by playing, seeing how the antichamber works and getting there.

Theres no grand secret puzzle, no big tie in, no anything, except a couple in the post game, which are just a string of very specific puzzle challenges that you need to grind, through random runs and getting lucky, to get an achievement.

Pushing runs to get the perfect RNG to try out your newly discovered secret is nice until you realise it pretty much was for nothing and didn't help you to reach room 46 at all.

I wish I had spent all that time just going to the room and not have cared so much about everything.



The game must be good, I spent so much time on it, in just two days. I guess it gets addicting, the runs hook you to try find something again and again but man, I didn't take well that all everything was smoke and mirrors after all.

"I don't like Rythm Games" Is something I said right before pouring 20h and getting my life sucked by the game.
Its great! I originally gambled on the game as I liked the artstyle but wasn't sure I'd enjoy the gameplay.

So glad I decided to take the shot. I feel like its such a cool game to get into rythm games, I don't have a lot (any) of experience with games of the sort but I think this one is quite different from the rest, and from what I expected.

Fun, engaging and challenging. Recomended. :D
