What can I say about Slime Rancher 2? It's a wiggly wonderland, filled with adorable slimes, both old and new. It has familiar mechanics, items and characters - and a beautiful new landscape to explore. I only encountered one bug during my 24 hours of play time - which was fixed by restarting the game. I've played £50 games with more bugs and less content than the early access of Slime Rancher 2!

On the whole, I found the story (so far) just as charming and heartfelt as the original's. It's clear that this is a direct sequel to Slime Rancher 1 - so if you want to play 2, I'd advise you to play through 1 first.

All in all, I bought Slime Rancher 2 only an hour after I got the email announcing it's release, and I do not regret it at all. Like it's predecessor, it is charming, beautiful and so wonderfully peaceful that it's an instant cure for my anxiety. I can only look forward to the next update, whenever that may be.

An incredibly fun and addictive game. Though occasionally I've found that my game struggles a little performance wise, the few issues I've had pale in comparison to the amount of content this game has to offer. My partner and I have spent many hours venturing to planets such as lush, gentle forests, and scorching hot, volcanic wastelands. 400+ hours into the game, and I swear, we still find new things to do - and that's before checking out the workshop content.

This game truly is a masterpiece for those who love open-world games, where you can follow a coherent plot, or go off and do whatever you wish to. I would definitely recommend it.
