Fun for the first few hours, awful late-game!
The missions are a fun time, and the open world only adds to it. The nods and nostalgia to older Lego star wars games is great, and some of the humour is hilarious.
HOWEVER
As soon as you finish all the missions 100%, the open world exploration falls flat on its face. Endless fetch quests galore, each planet with 30+ bricks, characters, ships and datacards that you need to collect (and don't get me started on the capital ships). The only reason I played past beating the missions was to 100% the game, and it was not worth it, for going through all the pain of 100% this game you get absolutely nothing which is just demoralising!
This game would have gotten a positive review if I didn't have to sink 150 hours of playtime over the course of multiple years just to complete it. Would be 1000x better if they cut half of the bricks and focused more on the funny events and goofy shenanigans that made the first Lego games so enjoyable. And while some of the puzzles are funny, the grand majority capitalise on the same mechanics / game loop, and god forbid you have to do a multi planet quest / space smuggle challenge, the transitions and fancy flair take up hours of playtime alone and add very little.
And a final moan as a prequel enjoyer, I was shocked to see some key events / scenes from the movies not make it into the game, like mace's showdown with Palpatine, possibly one of the most iconic fights next to Obi v Ani on Mustafar!
WHY ARE ALL THE SCAVANGERS EWOKS!!!

Fun but stale.
A fun game to turn your brain off and relax, until you get soft locked due to the games horrible progression past unlocking the jetpack.
Story is stale and a massive downgrade from the previous title, just talking to pngs is not interesting. There is no incentive to build up your ranch because of how expensive they made everything, another bad change in comparison to the previous game, you are better off coasting from the abundant plorts found on the range instead, not even needing to use the base past warp tech apart from crafting upgrades, which in themselves are tedious to make.
Lag, stutters and load times galore, want to go to a new area, load zone, want to go to your ranch, massive frame drops, want to do anything in the background, you better not.
Really unfortunate, would rather play the original, not to say this game doesn't have it's merits, but I never felt this negative about the prequel, so take from that what you will.

Only have 7 hours on this game, but the sheer size and number of things to do is keeping me well satiated and excited to continue. Whilst many are complaining about the difficulty, however I enjoy the step up from hollow knight. Silksong is much more souls like than hollow knight, so it makes sense that players will struggle / have to learn its patterns, after all if it was easy whats the point. 10/10 cant wait to finish.

Amazing game, great characters, perfect UI, sound and music design goes nuts, and all the characters are fun to play. 10/10 would recommend, even to those like me who aren't the biggest fans of 6v6 shooters

Amazing game, can easily sink hours into it! The combat is fun and responsive, and paired with a metal playlist it will keep you playing for hours on end.

One of my all time favourite games, was amazing back in my childhood and still is amazing to this day, truly a testament to the early indie games and how amazing they are, would recommend to anyone and everyone, a true masterpiece.
