I'm late to the party, but yes this is a phenomenal game.

Been waiting years for this, turns out it's a fake game actors play in movies. Soulless from the start and didn't improve, gave up 20 mins in. What a let down.

Great game.

Needs more content and a team based game mode, but I'm sure that's all on the way.

This game's voice chat is a disaster, couldn't go a game without random 'I can't hear you, but you can hear me, but he can hear you, but I can't hear him etc etc etc' shenanigans.

More importantly, the spells just aren't fun to use. Shared money means some players are naturally gonna miss out on using a different wand; early on at least. Enemies also feel completely trivial, never once did anyone feel genuinely pressured by one.

Graphics are very well produced though, pity the game is milquetoast in every other aspect.

The fish spell was funny, actually.

Ok, I've played enough to get a general idea of what's in store for the next hundred hours or so, so here's a ramble of my thoughts so far - it's conflicted.

It's already apparent that this game does not respect the player's time.

Where this is first noticeable is with main idea of breeding and mutating cats, and that it feels arduous and unrewarding. There's no way to sort cats (from what I can see), so when a room is full of a dozen cats, you're left frantically clicking through them trying to find the right one in mind.
Want to compare it to another specific cat? Nah, the one you're looking for just ran to the other side of the room and you've lost the initial one anyway because half of them look the same. Why is there no list/sort option? Y'know, sort them by individual stats/class/age/gender/etc; anything?
Besides mutations, which seem incredibly hard to come by early on anyway, nothing else seems to carry over from the parents. Stats and initial abilities seem random when the cat is born. But then again, why does it matter anyway? Your main abilities actually in game, during level up or when selecting a collar, are also random. I noticed upgrading Tink gives you more UI elements that do help with giving breeding info, but that leads me onto another reason as to why your time is not respected;

So much basic info and content is locked behind padded runs.

There is so much padding you have to get through with fruitless runs to slowly be drip-fed more info and content that should be available to the player from the start. I won't harp on this point too much, but if you're 10-20 hours in, I'm sure you get what I mean. I just wish there was more agency for the player to experiment available early on in the game. I see the road ahead, and it is long and padded. There already seems like there WILL be so much content available, why make us repetitively grind for ALL of it?

With all this talk of randomness, though, I'm yet to even mention the in-battle RNG. Personally, hasn't been too bad for me. I feel most of the RNG frustration comes from the wide disparity of ability/spell usability which are randomly given during level ups. (you can choose from a handful each time, but if synergies aren't lining up - boohoo, nothing you can do about it.)

Also, the game isn't funny.

It is peak oldhead millennial fart bum poo heckin' chonker drivel.
Cat breeding animations were turned off immediately, every interaction that isn't explicit game info is skipped. The music however, while often agonisingly unfunny in the lyric department, is quite good.

I'll probably expand on this review if I continue to play, maybe I'll change my mind, but right now I can't recommend this game with how much it pads and mistreats the player's time.

Expect the best out of your fellow Raider, but brace for the worst. Hurt people hurt people.

“If you try to please everyone, you'll please no one.”

Killing Floor 3 is a series of weak messages leading to a bad experience.
It lacks vision, integrity and - most importantly - guts; figuratively speaking, no pun here.
Seeped in UE5 performance issues, a vapid art direction and unintuitive menus and systems spanning the whole user experience, I don't hold out much hope for what's to come.

Would've loved to have been a fly on the wall when the directions for this game were initially discussed. I'm wholly convinced a group of Publishers designed this game, or at least a group of Designers with a general affliction for the human race.

Oh, and the use of generative AI in most of the battle-pass item artwork is the sweet, sweet fluff frosting - real classy.

This game is for no one.

Edit: Redownloaded to give it another try after many content updates. 15 minutes of shader patching to just have WORSE performance than launch. Everything is just as dull and uninspired as I remember, good lord stay away and just replay KF2.

There's a good game here, a REALLY good game - but my god is it buggy, and it seems to only be getting worse.
So I've had Net Code issues from day one, everyone has - but tell me why I load up the game today and my frames as stuck at 20-30fps max? Training arena, completely fine. Online match? Completely tanks.
This wasn't the case for the first couple days of playing, so what's the deal?
The net code is that bad it's effecting FPS and vice versa?
It's hard to tell as I don;t know how much is server side/client side, if its P2P or what I don't know, but having a currency system and paid battlepass in a already paid game as buggy as this is not a convincing launch.
Again, there's a great game here, but everything surrounding the core design is pretty gross.
Take this as a lukewarm thumbs up until they sort it out.
