Ever since Telltale went bankrupt a whole seven years ago, I've been missing their kind of games. And now, their sort of successor has finally come out. I was very excited for this one.
Don't get me wrong — the writing is great, and the characters feel unique and charming. I don't even mind the weekly release schedule; it has its own quirks.

What I'm concerned about, though, is the length of the episodes. They're far too short for my taste. I was expecting something closer to Telltale’s two-hour format, but the first two episodes were, what, around 45 minutes each? That’s not really enough time to properly develop such a colorful cast, and the total length would end up being about six hours if all episodes are like that.

Still, the game is really good, so I’d definitely recommend giving it a try — just keep in mind what you’re getting.



Update:
Well, now that the game has fully released, I can say that my concerns were justified — but only partially. The story is wonderful and feels complete, but I still think that 7–8 hours wasn’t quite enough to fully explore these characters. I wanted to learn more about Shroud and his background, and more about our whole team.
Sure, there are the comics that dive deeper into the characters’ motives and pasts, but it would’ve been great to have those moments in the game itself.
That said, knowing how long and difficult the developers’ journey was — and how the game almost didn’t come out at all — what we got is the best possible version they could deliver.
And now that the game has become a resounding success, I really hope AdHoc’s next projects — whether it’s Dispatch Season 2 or their fantasy game in collaboration with Critical Role — will be longer, because I’d love to spend more time with these wonderful characters.
I absolutely recommend it to anyone who misses the old Telltale days or simply loves well-written, engaging stories.

I've been waiting for Telltale-style games for a long time, ever since they went bankrupt. And now, such a game from the former developers is coming out soon, and with elements of management? I definitely don't want to miss such an explosive mixture. I'm really looking forward to the release!

Overwatch is finally stepping in the right direction. I just hope that they will continue to do so. I know that the devs love their game and I do too. It was really sad that the game was in that state. But maybe there's hope?

Amazing game

I couldn't have asked for a better conclusion for this saga.
Amazing series, through and through. Many tears were shed, many smiles were given. I'll treasure memories of completing these games for the first time forever.

P.S. Laura is best girl <3

Pretty good, but not even close as great as Royal (or even as the original). More than that, it's a sequel to the original P5, not Royal, so certain characters and events didn't happen in this timeline.

Other than that, soundtrack is superb as always, and visuals are gorgeous. Gameplay is dynamic and fun. Overall, if you were a fan of P5, you'll love this as well.

A strong sequel to a very well written book.

Thank you, ATLUS, for letting me fall in love with these wonderful characters all over again...
And for making me cry a river when it was time to say goodbye.

Now there's hope for P5R, riiight?
