A great little game. I love all sorts of roguelikes and this one is a wonderful addition to my library. The vibes are immaculate. The visuals and music transport you right back to the '90s and the early days of 3D in games. I personally really love the gem and resonance systems and the variety they add to each run. The game also feels great on Steam Deck.

The two small critiques I have are with the game's ease and relatively limited number of unlocks. While I don't mind the game being on the easier side, it does make certain choices in runs a little less impactful. As for the unlocks, this may also be an issue with the game's difficulty, as it's trivial to unlock most of what's on offer in just a few hours.

Despite my minor complaints, I have been loving this game. It's absolutely worth a purchase. And if the game gets expanded upon in the future via updates or DLC, I'll be more than excited to play even more.

A vast improvement over the first game in every way, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 brings the fast-paced, eyecatching, and historic fights of the Dragon Ball universe onto your screen in glorious fashion. Simply put, one of the best games I have ever played. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a new, exciting adventure, whether or not they are a fan of the series.
