The game has it's bugs - I think we all know that now. There's a reason it's earned the alias "Cyberbug 2077".
Yes, sometimes you have to save & reload to get rid of a UI element that got stuck on the screen. Yes, sometimes a car will suddenly launch up into the air for no reason. Ok, the sound of bottles smashing as you get close enough for the physics to kick in is a bit unusual... and sometimes missions get stuck or events don't trigger. Why would I recommend this game to anyone?

Bugs can and will be fixed, and on a decent system (I'm running on an RTX 3080, 32GB DDR4, Ryzen 3900x, M.2 Gen 4 SSD) they're minor inconveniences at worst. I've not encountered a bug that broke the game so bad that a re-load wouldn't fix. But they will be fixed.

The story - bugs or no bugs, the story rises above all of that. It's gritty, funny, emotional, and outrageous all wrapped up and a visually delectable package. Cyberpunk is a story of layers upon layers, oozing with backstory and lore, enough Easter eggs to turn you diabetic, and dialogue - oh the dialogue. Every line recorded with absolute finesse.

The RPG elements - no matter what anyone says, are RPG elements, and do what they should do. Some bits are a bit broken, some need balancing, but that doesn't detract from the fun. There will be times when you make decisions because that's what you'd do in the situation, rather than what's going to give you the best armour or dps. There will be times when you have to do something you really wouldn't want to - and you'll feel it. The characters will feel it, and the story will be richer for it.

Cyberpunk is a beautiful looking game, with an epic story, told to near perfection, with an absolute abundance of things to do. People will want more, they'll want cyberpunk to be GTA, but this isn't GTA - it's a futuristic RPG based on the table top game - it's a playable 'choose your adventure' movie, and what it sets out to do it does very well.

Wait for the bug fixes, don't wait for the bug fixes, you'll still enjoy it. Just make sure you're not going to try to run it on a potato before making your mind up.

First up, what you'll hear from the community.
Space Engineers is an epic sandbox physics/space survival simulator where the main opponent is the game's glitchy nature, which the community has come to worship as 'Klang'. This is true - but does it really matter?
Answer - not really. The semi-predictable nature of klang is manageable, and entertaining at it's worst. Watching a poorly built piston rig rip explode and go rolling off into the distance is a sight to behold, but with some care, totally avoidable.

The physics-based, block-building nature of the game along with destructible everything, and moddable aspects of this game offer limitless possibilities. Engineer your way to your goal, and when things go wrong and you find your mining ship upside down in a hole - engineer your way out of it. The only limit is your imagination...and the blocks you've been given.

"So what's the point?" you may ask - what's the mission / story / aim of the game?
That's entirely up to you. As a sandbox, you're free to define your own objectives, and reach it your own way. Play solo with the aim of building the best base, the biggest baddest ship, and the most currency. Or play with friends and form factions, build your fleet and go to war. It's your choice, and when you get bored, find some cool mods that add AI bases and ships and play with them too, or download a scenario with a story to play through.

Space Engineers has a thriving community of workshop creators, building new ship designs for you to try, new mods for the features you want or didn't know you want. There's active forums full of helpful souls, and Klang worshipers alike. You're never truly alone, even in the black of space.

This game will run on an older gaming PC, it's accommodating like that. But if you want to build really big, and use complex scripts, mods, and turn all the settings up to 11 you'll want a decent gaming build. This game will use whatever you throw at it.

The bottom line
Space Engineers is a fun and entertaining game that lets you do whatever you want. It's a little glitchy in a sometimes frustrating, but mostly funny way, and the glitches are mostly avoidable with practice.
The learning curve is very steep but once you get the basics down it's easy to play, but hard to master.
I've been playing nearly 1000 hours at the time of writing this, and I'm still finding new ways to do things.
Keen update the game regularly with new features, blocks, and skins. Their DLC's are cheap but not pay to win, and overall this is well worth every penny.
There's a ton of free public servers if you want to try multiplayer, or you can host a game with your friends.

I highly recommend this game.
