This is going to be a completely spoiler free review that tries to cover all aspects of the game independently, hope you enjoy.

[LORE]
It takes place in a fictional world that displays our own real world in a more explicit and a bit twisted way. You are a detective in the city of Revachol, a drunk detective. So drunk that you forgot your whole identity and everything else about the world one night. Now you wake up and must try to solve a murder case, while also figuring out who tf you are and what everything is.
You are not alone however, another detective from another district comes to you to help you investigate the case as your partner. A very professional and definitely not drunk officer unlike you. His name is Kim Kitsuragi.
The people in this place are brutal, poor, hopeless. The situation is dire and you and your partner must prevent it from getting worse. Everything about this city is partly connected to the main case, one way or another.

[GAMEPLAY]
Disco Elysium is an open world, novel-like narrative role playing game. A verrryyy neat mixture of different game mechanics and genres. You just go around talking to people, interacting with them, interacting with things and places, but most importantly, interacting with your onw thoughts. This is the soul of the game, what goes on in your head as the detective and how you think of things and basically how you "do" things is such a big part of everything this game has to offer.
This is the type of game that lets you be you. However you are and however you do things irl, you can apply it on the character and see yourself in him. As I said in the lore section, the character has lost all memory about everything, even his identity. You are basically rebuilding the identity how you want, no matter how he was before.
You will do a lot of talking and listening and walking in this game, but it doesn't mean it's chill like a game you can just play and enjoy without much attention. It's in fact the opposite, it offers sooo much to handle mentally and that is the action of the game, that's what makes it Disco Elysium. It will mentally and emotionally challenge you and that's what makes it so memorable. You will make A LOT of decisions and they all contribute to the story and the process.

[GRAPHICS AND OPTIMISATION]
Beautiful art style and nice looking graphics and textures. very unique, but nothing too fancy, it fits the environment so well. I also don't think anyone would have an optimisation problem with it, it's a light game and most devices can run it smoothly.

[LENGTH]
I had a very thorough playthrough and did almost everything there was and it took me about 32 hours.
It all depends on how you play. You can even finish the game in less than 5 hours by skipping all conversations and not investigating the case and wasting time. But guessing you wouldn't do that, it would normally take 15 to 35 hours I think.

[AUDIO AND SOUNDTRACK]
The ultimate BEST voice acting I've ever seen EVER. No game, movie or show or anything beats it. Literally the best voice acting there is. It's soooo complex, detailed, diverse and neat. You will not get enough of it. Every character has a unique voice with special features and accents. It's a genius masterpiece.
And the soundtrack is just as good. Amazing tunes that you will want to listen in loop while or after playing the game. It's a work of art.

[REALS]
Very well worth the original price, but wouldn't hurt to get a nice discount on it when it goes on sale. That's what I did.

[BUGS]
There are some minor gameplay issues you may encounter in the game but it doesn't get so bad. I only had some problems with movement and interaction in certain areas. Nothing game breaking.

[RATING]
This game will stick with me for life, that's how I feel about it. It's one of those games, one of those experiences that you will find yourself thinking and talking about. It affects you mentally, emotionally and politically. All in a good way honestly. It feels like a scope that lets you see some stuff that you previously ignored or are too used to. This game takes you off of the real world and put you in its world. A different yet still very similar world.
Overall I can say that experiences like this are unique and valuable. Whatever it is, it's something that will stick with you and that is something we all should try to have more of. Memories.
9.5/10.

Thank you for reading, I hope that it was helpful. Below I will give you some small tips that I think will help you in having as good of an experience as I had.

[TIPS]
1. Try to be very thorough in your investigation. It may not seem like it, but almost everything has something to do with the murder case, and even if not, you will have a good time doing some side tasks, trust me. Do not force this however, I mean you should be how you are and play how you wanna play. Like if you saw that you're really not liking the side quests and tasks, and not doing them is more fun than doing them, then don't do it. But at the very least give everything a try and then decide. Talk to people.

2. Make good use of your clothes and items, they offer certain stat buffs and debuffs that you will definitely need throughout the game in certain interactions. For example, when given a "Electrochemistry" chance, look through your clothes and put on those that buff your Electrochemistry stat. This way there's a higher chance of that chance succeeding. It may go from 8% all the way up to 72% success rate.

3. VOLITION [Legendary: Success] The road to healing is going to be a long one. Stay the course. You will make it someday.

I decided to play this genre defining game as an RTS fan that grew up playing other titles like Company of Heroes, Stronghold Crusader, and even a bit of C&C: Generals, so I'm not really unfamiliar to the "old" UI and gameplay style of these games, and naturally I didn't expect advanced AI or very detailed and clean faction designs, etc. But even so, this was quite underwhelming, especially for a "definitive edition". I explain why

I don't know what the original was like, but I know damn well what this should've looked like. When you call a game "Definitive edition" it should mean that it's worked on to be better in terms of graphics and texture, AI, UI, performance and everything in between to be suited for both the OG players and new players that want to try the game for the first time. Of the 4 main factors I mentioned, This game has passed in only one of them and that is Graphics and textures. I must admit that they remastered it very well while maintaining the originality. The other factors however are a total disaster (excluding the UI because it's decent enough)

The AI of the game is the worst I've seen in any RTS game. It's so bad it becomes funny sometimes. The original game has every right to be like this due to the technology back then, but this definitive edition was released in 2019. No OG player or new player wants that terrible AI back. This is like the most important thing when you're remastering a relatively old game, ESPECIALLY an RTS game. After graphics and texture of course.

The performance is no good either. At first I was so hyped to see the 250 max population size. We don't even have that in AoE4. Though after playing for a while, these constant stutters came haunting me. It got to a point that I was getting maybe 3FPS. For some reason I sometimes experienced some stutter in even the campaigns with a lot less troops too, and before you call this a specs problem, I've never had this big of a stutter problem in any game EVER. Look at my profile and see the games I'm talking about.

I'm quite disappointed that this game isn't as good as I hoped it would since I really liked it at first and wanted to try all the different factions and troops, but the excitement faded away more and more whenever I encountered a bug or AI bs or performance problem, but I'm happy that I at least tried it for myself.
You can do the same too, but I recommend it ONLY on sale. It's really not worth the full price based on what I explained.

4/10

This is going to be a completely spoiler free review about Dead Space 2 that covers pretty much all the aspects of the game including the story, gameplay, optimization, etc. It will however include some minor spoilers and hints from Dead Space 1 (remake), so if you haven't played that gem yet, what are you doing here? Go play that and then come back to this store page. For the rest of you, I hope you find this helpful. It is spoiler free and will only give you a whole idea of what you can expect out of this game.

[LORE]
It takes place some time after the events of Dead Space 1. Isaac is rescued by Earthgov and is under study and research in order for the secrets of the Marker to be discovered through all the horror he went through. But once again, things don't go as planned and a second Necromorph breakout takes place in Titan Station that orbits around Saturn. Everything gets out of control and no one and nothing can stop the fall of Titan Station that is bound to occur. Isaac being the man he is with his bad ideas, ignores all dangers and risks everything to try to prevent things from getting much worse. But with Nicole forever haunting him, can he even save himself let alone save others?
So just like the first game, you are literally Isaac. Meaning that I felt every single confusion, realisation, betrayal, horror and whatever Isaac felt in the game. Could even say that it was just as immersive as the remake of the first game. The characters and the whole story line is just perfect. Cannot imagine any possible improvement, it's literally perfect. Best sequel story possible.

[GAMEPLAY]
Very interactive as in the first game with the same mechanics. It stayed true and loyal to the origins of the first game being scary, creative and action survival. There even are some new mechanics and new weapons that inspire you to modify your ways of combat compared to your previous experience.
The enemy variants are extended but still nothing too crazy. Same with weapons, it just makes you create new strategies and ways of combat which is exactly what a sequel needs to do. Not changing the base of the gameplay while still having some new content and new play styles for the player to explore.

[GRAPHICS AND OPTIMISATION]
Having experienced Dead Space Remake, I was worried that playing the second game from 2011 that does not have a remake or remastered version would be underwhelming and not as fun as my previous experience. Well that worry was for nothing and I truly enjoyed this game's graphics and atmosphere. It never felt like playing an outdated game, cause it isn't one. This game is so well made that I believe it may never get outdated or "expired".
And in terms of optimisation, I didn't experience a single problem. Everything was as smooth as it could be. My specs are: Rtx 2060, 32GB Ram, HDD, Ryzen 5 3600. Most PCs nowadays are definitely able to run this game smoothly without a problem.

[LENGTH]
Despite having more chapters than the first game, it was actually shorter overall. Taking about 9 hours compared to the first one taking about 15 hours. The whole progress of chapters is a little unbalanced, meaning that a chapter would take only 15 minutes while the other could last a whole hour of playtime. Still not a problem though, it's just shorter, that's it.

[AUDIO AND SOUNDTRACK]
Just as amazing and as good as the Dead Space Remake. The voice acting is SPOT ON. The voice actor for Isaac is the same as in the remake (Gunner Wright) which is great. Absolutely loved everything about the voice acting and also the soundtracks. It all made the game even more immersive and scary. Simply great.

[CREDITS]
Totally worth the release price. Worth every single bit of it. You can buy 3 of this absolute gem of a game for the price of a modern AAA game. It's a steal if you ask me, when this one felt like it had more love and dedication and creativity compared to some "AAA" games that we see nowadays.

[BUGS]
I encountered no real game breaking bugs, and not even minor ones really. The game is sooooo clean. I have only seen some physics glitches where the items or pieces of Necromorphs would get stuck in the corner of some rooms and/or noclip into the walls, which I consider quite normal considering the great physics every single item and thing in the game has. No big bugs whatsoever.

[RATING]
I would've loved to give this game a 10/10, but I gave the first one 9.5/10 for whatever reason and I have to give this one a 9.5/10 as well, even though both games had me so hooked and interested in them and I enjoyed them so much that I can easily consider them absolutely perfect. But I guess nothing is perfect, eh?
9.5/10

[TIPS]
I hope you found this review helpful and I appreciate the time and attention you put into reading it. Here are some extra tips and personal experience that you might like:

1. Be creative and be smart about your encounters and your challenges. Observe everything around you and sometimes you find some things that are not just randomly put there, they are there exactly for your to use them to your advantage against your enemies. Those stasis capsules, explosive capsules, the arm of the Exploder Necromorph, etc. They all can be more useful than you think.

2. Unfortunatly unlike the first game (the remake at least), Dead Space 2 does not have many interesting logs to read or listen to, besides some few ones. However it still has an amazing environment with untold stories and secrets that you must discover for yourself like a detective in a crime scene. So observe and immerse yourself in the atmosphere.,

3. Crawl Inside the Machine, the Screws go tight all around, cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in your eye.

An amazing experience. Nothing like it. It literally shows our journey in life and everything we encounter and experience on our way to our goal(s).
I played with great people in this journey and without even talking or knowing one another, with the most basic ways of communication and everything, I cared about them and our success so much that not knowing them was not important at all. And in the end the game showed me what companions I had during the game and I added them on Steam lol
Just get the game, play it in one sitting (It takes less than 2 hours) and enjoy the heck out of it and have the decency to be with your companion at most times
Such amazing message and creativity put in only 2 hours or less

I am completely new to the Dead Space franchise and am so happy I started getting into it with this absolute gem of a remake. This is going to be a complete, spoiler free and thorough review regarding every aspect of the game. I hope you find it helpful 🙂

[LORE]
The lore and story is quite similar to another game that I really love named Prey (2017).
Basically an alien outbreak happens in a spacecraft of some sort in a universe in which our technology has reached a degree that we mine planets and asteroids in space instead of traditional mining on Earth. The USG Ishimura is a "planet-cracker ship" which is extracting the minerals of a planet named Aegis 7. However, there is more to this planet than simply its sweet juicy minerals.
Long story short, shortly after the outbreak, you as Isaac Clarke, one of the best engineers in all of fiction, alongside a few other crew members are on your way to USG Ishimura. It's up to you to discover the horrific secrets of the outbreak, the causes, the solutions, and eventually get the hell outta there.

[GAMEPLAY]
One of the most immersive games I have played. It's a 3rd person adventure, shooter, horror and story driven kind of game that completely immerses you in its horrors.
There are many types of enemies that you encounter during the game and you can have multiple approaches with different weapons and abilities and strategies that you acquire as you progress.
There are puzzles and secrets merged into your objectives and as you progress with your main objectives, some side objectives become available for completion. A great system that includes no grinding, no boring missions, and no incredibly hard objectives that you cannot pass.
Overall, I best describe it as a game that has perfectly balanced gameplay with a bit more focus to the horror and shooter side.

[GRAPHICS AND OPTIMIZATION]
Well this is a 2023 remake and it is expected to have amazing graphics which it does. It completely fit my expections and has done an incredible job with combining the original atmosphere with the new generation of game engines and graphics.
Can't say anything negative about the graphics but for optimization, I have a small complaint.
Right at the beginning of the game, the game warns you that this game is built for SSDs only and not for HDDs, which I completely understand as there is literally almost no loading or cutscene or anything that cuts you from the immersion. There is absolutely no time to feel safe except for the main menu, you're in action all the time and this obviously requires some fast drives which can only be obtained by SSDs.
However this doesn't mean that you can't play the game on a HDD. You can, but you will have some significant problems with the syncing of audio and video together. sometimes you'd be hearing Necromorphs but there is none until one suddenly spawns in front of you. After I moved the game to SSD, I started to have a lot more enjoyable experience with no optimization problem.
It'd simply be nice if they added an option for those who do not have an SSD, making the game slightly less immersive for the advantage of being able to play it well with an HDD.
Also, I had stable 60+ FPS with these specs: RTX 2060, AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB 3200Mhz ram, and a SATA SSD.

[LENGTH]
It took me about 15 hours to complete the story mode alongside most side objectives. I think it takes everyone between 10 to 20 hours to complete it depending on how many of the side objectives they want to play or how many secrets they want to find.

[AUDIO AND SOUNDTRACK]
Amazing use of audio that takes up most of the horror aspects of the game, and with the beautiful yet unsettling soundtrack, I cannot have a single complaint about audio. simply great.

[CREDITS]
Definitely worth the price for this experience no matter if it's on sale or not.

[BUGS]
I did encounter some bugs with the physics of the game especially the zero gravity mechanisms, but nothing too annoying or game breaking. That is unless you are using a HDD, With HDD I had some terrible bugs that I would get stuck somewhere, screen black with nothing in my control which is all related to the loading and saving system of the game. It wants to reduce the loading time and everything as much as possible, but with an HDD, this leads to game breaking bugs that you can do nothing about but to Alt + F4 the game.

[RATING]
Near perfect experience. Solid 9.5/10 for me.
Can't wait to play the second game.

[TIPS]
Thank you so much for reading so far! Here are some random tips and recommendations that might help you:

1. If you have played the games Fallout, Prey, Metro or any other immersive sim game with massive lore, you are bound to like Dead Space too. Especially if you are into dark, horror space atmosphere games with a little bit of science and engineering seasoning. Just go for it.

2. Read logs, listen to logs, and get to know the lore and backstory of stuff in the game universe IN the game, not by simply going to Youtube and watching a lore video. Do that too, but my personal experience proved that Dead Space Remake has a really efficient way with the logs and backstories and secrets of the game unlike many other games that just annoy you with boredom and confusion.

3. CU**^#T THE(@&&IR L!MBS@!":<@# MAKE US WHOLE AGAIN

Such a great, unique experience!
Firewatch is a "walking sim" game with amazing visuals and art style. It has WONDERFUL voice acting that just immerses you in the game and story. It makes the game so real that when there is a moment of silence when none of the characters are talking, ANY sound you hear in the woods becomes terrifying. Just how I imagine I would react irl in a situation like this.
This game basically has 10/10 sounds and voice acting and soundtrack. simply amazing, and I think that this single aspect of the game, carried the whole thing, no matter how good the art and story is.

3 to 4 hours of great gameplay. Try to be patient with it in the very beginning, it will get better. Be sure to take some beautiful pictures with the camera you find later in the game (you won't regret it). Try to play without subtitles if you can understand the conversations well, as it makes the game much more realistic in some way.
If you got confused or upset about the ending (As I did at first like many others), try to think about it a bit more deeply and watch a lore video if you can. Maybe it will change your opinion.

The game might not have a clear ending and conclusion to what really happened, but I think that's also one of the things that makes it stand out. Unlike most similar games, you don't get to see how everything turned out exactly and are left with everything that your character already knows and experienced. Nothing more. It tries to put you in the shoes of Henry (The main character) so like an irl situation, we never get to see the whole picture of something and understand all perspectives

Overall a great experience. Worth the time and price for sure. Just go for it

Early Access Review
This game is the result of a 10/10 idea filled with the devs' love and a 10/10 execution. One of the absolute best games I've ever played and a very memorable one cause of how many funny and scary moments I've had in it with my friends.
If you got good friends, instantly get this and force them to do so as well, and if not, find some on the official discord server of the game and play with them, or just add me. You're guaranteed to have a great time unless you're a boring, unfunny, horrible kinda guy. Sorry but it's true

However due to the game being in its early stages and the overwhelming amount of players from all around the world, the network system is absolutely horrendous and we gotta wait for future updates and fixes that will hopefully get this fixed and also add new stuff even though the game already feels quite complete in terms of the amount of content in it. This game has endless potential with the massive support it's gotten in very short time. Can't wait for future updates and the next tens of hours I'm gonna spend on it.
