Breathtaking. While I miss some of the minor visual odds and ends that were cut for simplification [ understandable ] overall this remaster is sensational. Cyan back at their best in decades, and I'm hoping this leads to further success for them. Aside from how well it plays, how beautiful it looks, how faithfully they were able to recapture and improve on what made the original so iconic, what truly gripped me was the sensation of being so deeply immersed in that core memory from my childhood again. Being shown this by my dad when I was a child was such a formative event, it influenced what I've found interesting for my whole life following. And like the original, this was so captivating and convincing and rich and lived in and mysterious and ancient, it was like taking a bite of that Confit byaldi and being transported back to that experience.

Literally one of the finest games I've played in the last decade. I just keep coming back to it. I love the chunky visuals, I love the designs, I love the weapons, I love the enemies, I love the cave crawls, I love all of it. I recommend this game to every person I game with. This game is a diamond.

Lovely, endearing, cathartic, and tremendously amusing.

First day of play presented some minor problems:
+ an inability to play in anything but fullscreen
+ a heavy load from visual effects like chromatic aberration and depth of field blur
+ a nearly seamless bombardment of nonstop "Disaster" instances

But truthfully at least half of said minor problems could be attributed to my ancient laptop's poor performance, so I walked away for a couple days to contemplate how I intended to play Everything again.

It ended up being surprisingly soon, as the recent patch successfully addressed nearly every problem that { my laptop } caused, which allows me to now express actual feelings towards Everything.

I absolutely adore it.

A massive fan of David's body of work { his exceptional Adventure Time episode, his lovely sequence in Her, his bizarre short film ????? } , I consider Everything to be no less engaging, thought-provoking, and visually stunning than anything else he has created.

Soft, glowing visuals, a simple and fairly responsive interface, absolutely beautiful soundwork and OST, an overflowing cornucopia of vegetables + animals + minerals to tumble around as, and snippets of indescribably interesting narration that I reactively sprint towards so I can listen to them silently while they play.

Thank you for sharing this with us, David.
