Superb game. 53 hours with a lot of side questing. Went the Silverhand route. 10/10 game. Very optimized; played on an iGPU ~ 80 FPS with Intel XeSS & Frame Gen 3x thanks to the recent update.

You can create a world and do what you want in it; if that's not a simple enough review.. watch a video.

Just as cancerious as ark, 3 different servers in 6 different spawn regions all ganked by a clan every spawn, when I thought they left me alone, they waited till I was geared, then smashed again. #garbage

I understand a lot of CMDR's are having issues, and I hope I can cover most of them.
It seems I am one of the lucky ones as I'm currently playing Elite Dangerous: Odyssey with minimal issues.

Let me start off by saying ( 5-24-21)
It is a bit more unoptimized than Horizons; to be expected with the new texture generation.
I do NOT have any texture issues (this is due to a lack of V-Ram on your GPU if you're experiencing these issues see (1) below)
Planet textures are appearing as designed, and look flawless.
Missions are working as intended.
Combat is working as intended.
The UI is seamless and is fluid to move around, just as horizons UI is.
Planet exploration is amazing, it makes you feel really small!
SRV Multicrew exploration is a thing( yes it works!!!)

Don't be so quick to judge the game, it's not nearly as bad as people are saying.

Launch horizons, lower quality to low, dock, logout, load odyssey, textures should be somewhat fixed.
My friend is running a GTX 960, and he doesnt have any texture issues anymore.
(2) Orange Sidewinder issue - CONTACT F-DEV - A CORRUPT CMDR, THEY NEED TO MOVE YOU
I had this issue and it was solved within 2 hours.

Every comment about this DLC sounds like it comes from an offical server, which are cancerious garbage. There are commands that let you both fly and build anywhere.
Stop playing x1 official server trash and start having fun on an unoffical server, I rented a Survival Server for Gensisis only, stuck a few mods on it and I can without a doubt say 100% that this DLC is worth it, the biomes are actually quite big, and beautiful. I can swing across the bog for an entire minute going atleast 50m/s with a Bloodstalker and not hit the edge.

I'm still playing, will update eventually -- but first thoughts are: 11/20/19
There is no music
The road system is poorly designed - 2 roads, one straight one slightly curved, and it fails most of the time finding the right path. Trucks cant turn in a 4 way cross intersection. You cant make a split road. "invalid placement"
Truck AI is bad -- they run into each other.
No tutorial... lol

Dumb garbage Epic Games killed this game, thanks, greedy company consuming others trying to provide a better game world.

ATTENTION!
All the bad reviews for the OFFICIAL SERVERS do NOT DEFINE THIS GAME!

It uses the same engine as ARK; yes -- BUT ITS NOT THE SAME GAME!

ATLAS is widly different from ARK for too many reasons that I care to list.

It's a great game, IF YOU GO TO AN UNOFFICIAL - ADMIN WATCHED SERVER.

Autistic flying, this game would be far better if the hub followed your mouse, so W could be more than forward. Because as it stands, you cant rotate your drone at all, A/D go left or right, its just a horrible control system. Complete trash, and I cant say about the rest of the game because I cant get past the ancient trash controls.

For a game that costs 60$ this is totally pathetic, and makes me feel like its been around since the 90's.

Cons:
Animals and people have no hitboxes, you walk right through them.
Horrible animations
Horrible voice acting and lack of lines honnestly.
Horrible voice movement
Horrible optimization
Horrible gun mechanics
Horrible AI

Id pay like 10$
