I doubt there's a point listing this negative review since the devs glaze the reviews with fake ones but here's my honest opinion;

Gameplay:

The gameplay, despite incorporating AI slop, is relatively fun, however, looting serves basically no purpose as the koen you make from loot is trash compared to gear from players. The exception to this are the red items, but even then the value of these barely covers half the cost of a T6 kit.

If you're a solo player, don't bother wasting your time with this game. You will consistently be placed in a game as a solo to have to face multiple parties. If you manage to avoid these parties, you will always find some braindead player sitting in a corner for half an hour waiting for you to run by. This sounds like an exaggeration, but it isn't.
The game tries to match you with other players as a solo but at most you'll match with a couple of other players who won't play as a team and will try to steal loot from you.

There is a solo ops mode, but like the other modes, you will consistently find the majority of players will sit in corners for most of the match waiting for you to run by. Their kit will consist of a shotgun and headphones, so even if you manage to kill them, they weren't worth the time. You will also find third party rats rushing you as soon as you get a kill which is aggravating, but there's nothing the devs can do about this, it's just my personal gripe with the type of players this game has.

The devs seem to lack any sense of direction with the game. With season 5, they've introduced a mode "distortion" which is basically STALKER bought from Temu. Ironic. They're also planning a zombies mode for this ultra realistic extraction shooter. It's laughable.
They've advertised this game previously as a realistic extraction shooter yet they're moving in the complete opposite direction. Each tier mode (normal/lockdown/forbidden) has a minimum entry $ requirement. These have always been incredibly low to the point throughout season 3 and 4, players were able to enter the modes with a sniper with tier 6 bullets and basic kit. These snipers were able to 1 shot headshot kill any player, regardless of what they were wearing. The devs response to limit this? They decided to make it so the T6 ammo can't 1 shot kill unless under specific circumstances. The issue wasn't with the ammo itself. The devs had the entry requirements for modes, mostly forbidden, way too low. 450k koen for all maps except airport, airport is 600k. Tying in with that, all players are able to craft T6 ammo themselves. This ammo should have been locked behind limited time contact trades, or found in raid only.

Balance:

I mentioned briefly the issues with snipers above, but adding more about gun balance:

I've been playing since Season 3, it's now season 5 (each season is roughly 3 months). When I started in season 3, the meta was the H416. The devs were aware of this being a problem so nerfed the H416 in a negligible way and added the U191 with season 4, which is even more overpowered in every single way. With season 5, they nerfed the U191 in a negligible way. I highly doubt with the introduction of season 6 there will be any work done to the H416, the U191, or any other gone which is seriously underpowered compared to these guns. For context, there's close to 80 guns in this game and only 7 you can actually compete with. The devs are aware of the imbalance but are not willing to change it.

There's also the "effective range" stats. After a certain distance, bullets will instantly do 30% less damage, there's no linearity. If the range is 50m, you'll have 100% damage at 50m, but 51m? Instant 30% less damage, which tied in with the sniper problem they nerfed to the ground.

Monetisation:

The game is free to play, I understand the game needs to make money so I'll get the premium battlepass every season, and premium if I need it but if you want a premium skin, or knife?

Predatory gambling mechanics, or Gachapon.

If you want to get a skin the devs have released, be prepared to spend a LOT.
A skin will be in a bundle of around 7 items. Usually a weapon skin, a spray, profile picture and profile banner and some other trash items nobody wants or cares about.
The first roll to get the skin you want will cost 10 bonds (100 bonds is $1 USD). You have the chance of getting the skin on that roll right? Think again. The chances of this happening are probably 0.01%, if not lower.
So you'll have a second roll, it was only 10 bonds right? Wrong. To roll a second time, it'll cost you 30 bonds. Ever increasing until you get the item you want, or there's only the skin left and you've got all of the junk items.

Just to loop back to balance, the devs released a melee only mode with season 4. It's just a coincidence the best melee in the game, the katana, with it's fast attack speed and longest range was one of these ultra expensive premium bundle items right? This gamemode definitely isn't pay to win, right??

For the Evita and Talia skins the devs released, you'd have to spend $200 for EACH. SKIN.

Dev communication:

Good luck to you if you need support for a problem with this game.

The community managers, despite there being multiple are useless in the discord and ignore direct questions to them.

If you use the in-game support ticket system, you will wait for a long time for a response which seems to be copy/pasted and doesn't answer the main issue at hand. The ticket will also auto-close so if you'd like to continue the conversation, you'll have to create another ticket.

Fun when released but it seems the devs took the money and ran for the hills, this game is safely in the land of abandonware now. Save your money and avoid.

Fun game although very short (completed in ~7 hours) and a lot of repeated gameplay mechanics, but I suppose it's hard to find different ways of draining water.
It would be nice to have hoses be a deployable item rather than be attached to the pumps so you could extend hose lengths. I found the walls on the church level hard to prepare for since the hoses with even the mk4 pump are too short to attach to the hydrants to be able to place the walls in the places I wanted to.
It would be cool to see player made levels too.

Avoid. I've got a GTX 3070 and 32GB of ram and still struggling to get 30fps on 'high' settings.

Edit:

After reading the dev response and reading more about this game online and numerous other reviews it seems like this issue is recurring with issues regarding the game crashing as well as FPS.

The fact is, we shouldn't have to jump through so many hoops to play the game. It should be released in a state where it's effectively plug and play but so many game devs now (especially AAA devs) release games half broken and even half completed and finish work on it through patches over time. It's sad.
