Fun game but extremely bugging with the controls and keybindings. Sad because I've waited for this game for years - but still fun. If you are not an MMO person it's probably not for you - as it feels like an MMO.

They make it apparent that they are just money hungry. The game itself is actually fun - but you're going to look like an idiot playing it - because the skins are $40. and that's for an Okay skin....

After waiting years for this game - I can say it has so much potential.
It's early access - and buggier than I thought it would be after such a long time in development - and can be a bit confusing as it doesn't really have indicators of what to do next or how to do it. (For instance one of the first quests says Investigate the Rebellious Rumors). What it doesn't say is "Kill this mob until you get a scroll drop from them) it makes it seem as if you should be searching for something to interact with to pick up evidence.
Came across a few bugs that are annoying - 1. When trying to craft a rucksack when I would go to put the plants into the crafting table - my character would start attacking - which then prevented me from being able to do the craft. I had to relog to solve this problem.
Then right after that I was unable to run - it showed my stamina draining - but the character was still walking. I had to exit the game completely and relaunch it to fix this one. But I digress as these are inconvenient and minor, and I'm sure will be fixed with haste.
The world feels unecessarily empty - the UI is to small - I thought it said R for skills and hit it probably 15 times before I realized it was a K.
The game play itself is good - combat and leveling feels a bit slower than I'd like. All in all in this state - I give it a 5/10. With a very optimistic hope that this game will be everything I've expected it to be for all of these years.
I would keep my eyes on this game for the reviews to change before purchasing, it is not worth the $50. (or the $42.99 sale i got it for last night).
It feels more like a $15-$20 game at this point.

21.3 Hours into the game - The game feels clunky - and the story is choppy. Not to mention the typical Ubisoft charm of ruining the games we love.

One of, if not, my favorite game series. Although the steam port seems to crash alot

Edited : So I have put about 18 more hours into the game since my original review. I still do not like the slapping each other for the revive feature - but ever since I found the revenant class I am having fun with it.

In other words - I was being a wimp and needed to get gud.

Really Disappointed with it... I've been anxiously waiting to play this for so long, but it definitely needs some balancing and mechanics worked on.

The revive mechanic is dumb and doesn't make sense. (Attack them to revive them?) etc. Just feels clunky.

Will circle back to it at a later date to see if there has been any improvements.

This is hands down one of my favorite games that has came out in a VERY long time. I normally don't play turn based games like this, but it has made me a huge fan of the genre. I will be keeping an eye out for ANYTHING these devs bring to the table.

They hit every point -
* Challenging
* Challenge vs reward
* Graphics are absolutely stunning
* The story line is out of this world with quite a few curve balls I was not expecting.
* The music.... I don't even know what to say... the music is what completes this game and is some of the best I have EVER heard in a game.
* The fight mechanics are very well balanced.
* The skill tree and progression feels natural.
* Protagonist Character Development
* Antagonist Character Development.

15/10 I recommend this game to anyone who is looking for something to sink into. This game is an absolute masterpiece with the least amount of cons I have seen in a long time.
