This game is... Peak (In case you didn't read the name of the game)

So far so good.
I love the ambiance and the ideas shown in the demo.
The only think needed is a better AI and give a bit more punch to the weapons.

Basicaly, the best coop horror game ever made.

This is my confort game, when I need to be in my bubble, in peace, that's the game I choose to play.
And like this game wasn't already a 5 out of 5 for me, they keep updating it with great content for free.

Honestly, I don't know about how it was in 2001 on Xbox but oh my god this game is BAD.
Like, Awfuly BAD and it's hard for me to imagine how this endend up being one of the biggest FPS franchise of all time.
This game has a lot of issues and you can feel the lazyness of devs in it.

The weapons don't kick much (appart from the shotgun and the pistol) but I hate the feel of every energy weapons. They don't feel good to me but you need them to beat the game since its a weapon that blow easily ennemy shield (wich is elementary if you want to survive in this game) and you can carry only two weapons at the same time. So its a No No for me
Also, half the game is copypasted, and this is not a joke in any way.
At one point you have to get from point A to point B, alright no prob, you do that for 4 hours, 4 hours of sometime wide open area and sometime some uninspired corridor (they even copypasted rooms multiple time) before the game tells you "Now get from point A to point B again !"
I'd rather play a half shorter game than go through the same place in reverse again in any game so why ?
Also, ennemies (might only be "The Flood" but idk) respawn... again... again... and again and it is not funny to me.
If you don't know this you'll end up waiting minutes after minutes in the same place waiting for the place to be less busy until you're dead.

On the good side, the soundtrack is cool and... well that's all I can think of sadly.

So, I don't know, please tell me how is this a good game, what do you like about it, I beg you.
Maybe it was pure nostalgia and it actually suck, maybe the online was fun back then (I didn't took the time to play it), or maybe it's me in the end and it's not to my taste ?

The first game by Frictional to change their classic recepy since Penumbra and it's bloody good

This is a payable Demo for (I guess) Bright Memory: Infinite
About 30min long, 3 weapons, few bugs, very clunky, some freeze with and without RTX

Go play Bulletstorm, Ultrakill or Desync instead or maybe go buy and test Bright Memory: Infinite directly (I didn't tried it yet)

I hate to refund an indie game after finishing it but this feel like a steal
If it felt like a game and not a demo, this would've not be a problem

Two main issues :

1 - Fullscreen is fuc-ked
I either play in window mode and the resolution is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (like I littelary can't read the epilepsy warning in the beggining) or I play in fullscreen mode ONLY on the right side of my screen
Having some kind of overlay like in the PC version Ikaruga or just a "center mode" would be nice

2 - Controls are fuc-ked
I don't know if it's because I'm using a PS4 controler but I can go in the options using it, but can't go down to change settings, or if I pause the game, their is a little arrow pointing down telling you "quit". I press down and nothing happen (even if the game play fine on right side of my 1st screen)

Game looks so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool, kind of like the POST VOID of shmup (to quote a game I love way to much for what it is) but I simply can't play it correctly

I've finish this game in 3.5h, and oh my god what a game.
I get why some might not like it. The gunplay feels pretty week and the aiming is worse than in CS:GO (I might be exaggerating but you get the point) but appart from that, it is either "Okay" or "Very Good"
I love the ambiance, the "Found Footage" feeling, the camera effect, the conversation between Lynch and Kane, and the evolution of Lynch through the first half of the game.
Even the shooting feel good sometimes. Yes most weapons sound (and feels) week but you can clearly see the inspiration from John Woo's movies. When you shoot, there is smoke, paper flying everywhere, glass crashing on to the floor, it's so cool.

And by the way, the only bug I had was my 2nd screen turning black and one crash after alt-tabing in a loading screen.

Oh and if you liked this game, I higly recommend Spec Ops: The line
