Humankind is definitely able to compete with games like Civilization, changing cultures with each age makes every game feel dynamic. There's still a few bugs however, but nothing super game-breaking (airplane upkeep cost is definitely the worst I've seen so far). If you're on the fence about whether or not to get the game, I'd say wait a bit for them to finish smoothing out all the wrinkles

A good MMO with lots of stuff to do even without any expansions.
