Peel and chop finely the onion.
Soak raw onions in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain the liquid and use the softened onions in salad. Thanks to soak the onion becomes soft, it isn’t bitter or crispy.
Cut boiled meat into small cubes (you can substitute the meat with cooked sausage).
Put the soaked onions in a colander to drain all unnecessary liquid.
Cut the eggs into small cubes.
Cut the potatoes into small cubes.
Cut the pickles into small cubes.
Chop finely the greens.
Put all the chopped ingredients in a large bowl. Put canned peas (without liquid) in the bowl.
Add salt and pepper to taste, mix gently.
Add mayonnaise.
Russian salad is ready!
