Overwatch, but made by a company that doesn't horribly mistreat its employees.

It's very silly and all over the place, but that's what I like about it. Very well paced, and has plenty of ideas they make good use of. Would definitely recommend picking this one up.

This game is perfect. Don't let its happy, charming atmosphere fool you. You're essentially thrown in the middle of a vast, open world. Given the tools to survive, you have to do whatever you can to live and see the next morning.

One of the reasons I keep coming back to do new playthroughs of this game is because of the freedom it gives you. If you want to beat the entire game with only the use of melee weapons, you can do it. If you want to build an elaborate home base that makes you feel safe from the outside world, you can do it. If you want to slay every boss, obtain every weapon, and amass riches beyond your imagination, you can do it. There is next to nothing holding you back from what you want to do.

Plus, the items you can obtain can easily fit to your playstyle. Do you like fighting enemies in close-quarters combat, or would you prefer to attack from afar, and play it safe? Do you enjoy casting powerful spells against the deadliest of foes, or would you like to rely on minions to deal with baddies for you? Terraria gives you the tools to let you play how you want. And it doesn't just come down to weapons; different types of armor and accessories can boost your abilities depending on how you play. Just test some out, and see which ones fit you best!

Do you hate when, by the time you reach the end of any game, you are so overpowered that hardly anything is a threat to you? Not in Terraria. Here, you are always greeted with new enemies that are slightly stronger than the last ones you faced. Even the final event can be a challenge with top-tier weapons and armor. That's why you are always encouraged to go digging; a lot of what you need to get stronger can be found deep underground. But that's not to say digging is the only reason you have to go down there. No matter where you go in the vibrant world of Terraria, there's something interesting to do around every corner! So feel free to explore everywhere to your heart's content!

Ever feel stuck, like you don't have the slightest clue what to do next? Well, fret not! The friendly Guide is always by your side, ready to give you advice if you need it. Have an item, but don't know what it's good for? Show it to the Guide! He will be more than happy to tell you what you can craft. And who knows, maybe you'll find something new?

If you are reading this review, and are still skeptical about buying, I highly encourage you do. There is a lot about this game that many people will find at least some interest in. I assure you, Terraria is well worth that $10 price tag, it pays for way more content than you may initially think.

Dig, fight, explore, build! The world is your canvas, Terrarian!
