Always been a fan of the Borderlands games. I was pretty excited when this game was released, and rather disappointed by all the negative reviews about performance. However, I still decided to give it a try.

So far, I can't disagree that performance is sub-par (MSI Katana - i7 - 16GB RAM - 4070) but still fully playable and enjoyable. I'm seeing around 40-50FPS fairly steady. There's been a couple small drops to about 20FPS when exiting a menu, but it returns to the 40+FPS quickly.

Graphics are nice, even at the medium settings I'm using. Weapons feel snappy and responsive.

• Can the game be improved? Without a doubt.
  
• Should they have waited to released it with further optimisation? Probably, yeah.
  
• Do I regret my purchase (so far)? No.
  
• Do I recommend this game? I do.
  
• Should you wait for more performance patches? Wouldn't hurt.

I'm a casual gamer and not at all into PvP or competitive gaming. So take that into consideration with my review.
