Long story short not terrible but WAIT FOR SALE OR DON'T BUY. It took me 10 hours to beat medium difficulty.
The issue with performance was there for me but I was able to get high settings with major tweaks to the in-game settings to get 60FPS for most part with dips when loading new areas with a 2080 super on release.
This game is hard to review I want to like it because I spend 60 on it but so much is keeping me away. The game has a really cool atmosphere but the depth of a puddle. The game only has 2 BOSSES and more than 2 boss battles one of them is cool on the combat system and the other is just a bullet sponge that can only be shot and if you mess up once is an instant death(no matter how much health you have) for this I would recommend in ]accessibility turn on auto dodge and maybe high contrast if seeing the boss is hard. When you die the game plays the animations which are really cool and gory but once it cuts to black its just nothing for like 5 seconds before it even starts loading into the checkpoint(played on SSD), this is terrible if your stuck on a harder difficulty or just having a hard time. I died to one of the bullet sponge bosses maybe 10 or more times and that time adds up when you start and immediately die then wait 10 seconds (from death including death animations then black) to start loading. There is only maybe 5 different enemy types but as the game goes on it does add new things to them to make them a bit different. More of a nit pick is the running in tense situations is very slow if it was me I'm running like hell (when backing off enemies to make space). Combat is ok it allows you to make use of all your tools in combat very smoothly like going from melee to gun then to GRP and so on or in any combo of those. The ending would be ok nothing not done before IF I mean really IF they didn't leave a cliffhanger for DLC or another game (I hope not in this game universe love the style of game) I think it would have been better to end it in the middle of the cut scene, then in the DLC play the rest of the cut scene, doing it this way makes you feel like the game was longer then copped off to make DLC for the season pass or they didn't have enough time to finish it so it had to become DLC.
I wasn't hyped for this game but had higher hopes for the successor of dead space but in the end I did have a good time and would recommend to anyone that likes the genre and wants more of it.

I bought this game on my PS4 at first and never finished it. So when I found out this game was coming to PC I was stoked. On my original PS4 it ran barely 30 FPS and looked ok but that was to be expected. Now that its released finally I have had a blast playing it.

Now the Game: It runs great a much better port than the horizon zero dawn port. I get with max setting on a i7 10700 and a 2080 Super with 32GB of ram no matter whats going on at least 120FPS in 1080p on my second monitor 4k it was 60 to 50 FPS with max settings.
The game looks really good nothing that is totally insane but looks good enough to have a good time.
The controls for mouse and keyboard are good it has everything you need within WASD reach.
When it comes to story I can accidently spoil things so not saying anything about the story. The story is nothing to run home about it is a clear this out get reward do it four more times over time and then story missions forwarding the plot. It isn't Death Stranding or Witcher but in my opinion I like the story the characters are well made giving you a choice to like them,(you will still get missions from them) they aren't all written for you to like them. With that I feel that some people would understand some of the characters I don't like.
The gun play is nice but the reticle for all the weapons are the only thing holding it back because unless your shooting into a horde or using Focus at close range you miss many shots. There are snipers, shotguns, and Rifles.(more damage rifles with slow fire rate or less damage rifles with more fire rate)
Customizing your bike is ok you get more parts after leveling up a camp do more for them level it up and unlock more parts, the cosmedic items are just ok some different tire treads, headlights, color, and exchast.
Overall with my 20 hours of playing I would give it a 7.5/10 for the score it is a good open world game with a decent story and gameplay worth buying. If your on the fence then maybe wait or watch some Youtube videos but if its on sale it is a definite buy. Also on steam they give you 2 hours to play try it for an hour thirty and make your decision.

I only really played this game in early 2020 I have owned it since I believe 2016 or sooner to when it came out. When it came out on switch I bought it and gave it another shot but on the go. I gave it more of my time and really payed attention to the games story and great details and it has been a great journey to see. I have not used many of the games great deep systems such as oils or potions to make my life easier I really enjoyed the story and some challenge but even without this the game still feels deep and if you want to use those you can but I didn't meaning its an option not needed to have fun. Granted the game has some flaws like there are so many characters that you can't care for them all some you need to help and while doing that you can't wait for the mission to be over. Loot seems to be you need to find it early or don't craft anything as exploring as a few levels higher causes your gear to be better than anything you can find, BUT it makes really good stuff to sell such as swords that are hundreds of crowns. If you complete all the side missions as they come and often explore all the question marks on the map you obtain many weapons and armor if you sell that You won't need to worry of money like me having always more than 15 thousand without really trying and just spending when I want on crafting my gear. I will say nothing about the story other than I liked it you need to believe you are Geralt and shouldn't do anything he wouldn't like being with a woman even though he loves someone else and this can cause negative things later in game. By playing slow it really is slow I have played for hours exploring and getting like 50 EXP but less than a full main mission gives 500 EXP normally, contracts and side missions never give the same amount of EXP like a main mission but it can give at one time a few hundred crowns or an item worth selling and crowns or a good item (good item isn't too often) the side mission never really feel the same other than maybe doing looking around with your senses but thats what makes a witcher. Combat is very rewarding like when using a good spell in the mix or not getting hit or the finishers that cut limbs off of enemies is really cool to watch. Crafting is defintly a friend being if you don't craft then you won't be at full potential and the things to craft isn't hard to come by if you kill and loot all your monsters then that is fine or if its something that can be bought at a merchant with your thousands of crowns. I still have more to do like the DLCs but if anything else comes to mind that I wish to add I will edit to give a better review to anyone that is thinking of this game. If your on the fence then don't buy it now wait for a sale or the time this is a game that requires many hours and full attention you need to give it a shot as it throws many things at you right out the gate. If you will give it the time and are on the fence it is a good game I have no clue about your game standards but I enjoy open world games and it is a good one. If you wish to try it steams refund policy is great just set a timer for about and hour and a half so you can stop the game and make a decision. It should give you the main set up within the first 90 min so you can see if it is something you enjoy. I would not recommend if this is a game that will be boughten than never played like me the first time, to enjoy you need to listen and make the right choices to have a connection to the characters and story and the world. It says I have played the game on steam for about 19 hours that not including switch in a recent update it allows me to play on my switch on the go then at home continuing the same save on PC but on my switch I have roughly 70 hours. I hope you have reached the end of this and that I have been able to help you in buying this game or seeing if it was right for you.

I have played this game for only about 4 hours the gameplay is great and fun. I have never played shadow warrior until this, there is major frame rate isusses but I fixed that by up dating my nvidia grapics card. The game runs normal in most parts but the frame rate is not to be accounted for becuase it can be fixed by updating your card. If you like gore, hack and slash, and some funny qoutes then this is a good game. Finding loot is some of the best part getting better katannas and guns. The game look great with my pc and if you can run it should be fine. I recommend this game if you are like me and having extra money burns a hole in your pocket, buy it you shouldn't be dissopointed but if you are there is a good return policy on steam. Good luck if you buy it have fun.
