Good game. But there are better games. Spend your money elsewhere.

First game in a while to actively spook me. And even when the spooks weren't as spooky, the monster is enough of a challenge to keep me on my toes while I progress through objectives at my own pace. 10/10, easily one of the better horror games I've played in a while.

Amazing game. 90 hours well spent.

I get most people probably dislike this game because it felt short of expectations after the masterpiece that was RE2 (2019). Personally? I never played the originals until after RE4 and onward, so I don't have the nostalgia goggles some of the more hardcore dis-likers might be gazing through.

And honestly? I have no problems with this game.

So far I've played through 3 times, and have S tiered standard, and after this review? I'll be doing hardcore.

Pros:
- Amazing atmosphere. Sounds lovely, and plays extremely well.

- Nemesis. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love him. Personally, I disliked the heck out of Tyrant in RE2, specifically because after you figured out how to get around him, RPD was basically your safe zone, regardless, save one or two encounters that you could probably cheese to get past him. His boss fights were alright, but I felt as though they were literally no problem after a while. Nemesis on the other hand, feels threatening. Challenging. Scary! Well, scarier than Tyrant. Though a majority of his scenes are scripted, he feels oppressive and threatening despite these drawbacks. I've actually had moments where this son of a gun popped out of nowhere, scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me, and papped me good- Sometimes from new places I hadn't expected in a previous run.

- Replayability. Sure, it's short. But really, If I could beat RE2 on hardcore in a little more than 2 hours, you're kind of reaching if this is your only problem with it. My first play through, I explored, and got plenty done on the side. Took me about 4 hours (Mind you, I was getting in the zone, trying to not miss anything.) The shop brings an interesting aspect to the game. I immediately picked up Jill's S.T.AR.S. outfit, and attempted my first S tier run (I was stupid and didn't read the requirements, so I failed) But got plenty of points to spend on. Is it amazing? No, but I do enjoy it.

Cons:

- Final boss: Fight is a bit of a gimmee. Other than that, the rest are pretty challenging, and fun. Some repeating elements, but not so that you'd care.

- Lack of outfits. Was very disappointed that the only outfit for Carlos was a pre-order gimmee. Especially since I could have pre-ordered it even a day prior or even a few days prior, but I didn't choose to. Call me lazy, but this, coupled with the fact that there are (SO FAR) 3 outfits that I know of? Lame.

- Size of area: The streets specifically. It didn't feel all that big. I would have liked more 'side' areas to explore, or even a longer section of the game that focused on the streets. I'm aware the clock-tower portion of the game from the original is missing. I would have liked to have seen this in the game, but. Oh well.

- bRaD ViCKeRs: Look, if you bought this game to see the REMAAADE killing of Brad, and are willing to give it a negative review because they gave him a 'POINTLESS' hero moment with no gory death, grow a set. It's a good game. Take off the nostalgia glasses.

Personally, I find this a rather fun game, especially go go solo for a bit. Gunplay is consistent, audio is excellent. Rather sad though that the community is rather quiet these days.

Stand your ground? Not an option. You better run, run, run!

Rather amazing game, simple, short. Fantastic play, and the horde mode makes this rather entertaining. VR is a great medium for this subject, and as though I've yet to play the DLC, I've found a rather fond place for the main character and of course, 'Freddy'.

Extremely disappointed with this borderline SJW approach with censorship, not only to the recent issues with China, but also with the chat censorship for 'naughty words'. I love that they'll focus on banning people for saying naughty words, rather than, y'know. Fixing bugs and glitches that plague the game, more so with every update, dealing with actual toxicity like teamkilling and hacking. Right now, I'd rather play ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CSGO than this trash, which speaks alot for the lack of enthusiasm I have for this game as of late. Really unhappy with you Ubisoft, get your ♥♥♥♥ together.

Toxic. Derankers. Throwers. Hackers. Made it to the higher ranks at one point? Nah, Valve tells you to screw off and go back to whatever rank you're stuck in like it's some perpetual hell. Try to get good? Here's a spinbotter. Master those sprays and work on your game sense? Spend thousands of hours trying to earnestly get better? Nah, screw you too. Here's a smurf who's salty he can't get out of MG1, so he hops on his alt account to skull ♥♥♥♥ you for the next hour and a half.

No he's being a toxic POS, that's what he's doing.

I'd rather lather my nuts in icyhot and rub sandpaper all over them than bother with another minute of this absolutely terrible dumpster fire of a game. Am I mad? Annoyed? Want to tell me to 'git gud'?
