Really great. I love it on steam deck. Every game mode is good and helps you become better at the main campaign mode. Just a really good arcade twin-stick shooter.

Honestly very boring and the grief metaphor is uninspiring to me. Cool art no doubt but very little game here. Not a fan.

One of the coolest games I've ever played. However, the game is not in a complete state and runs pretty bad outside in the city. The FPS in the city is very bad, and I hope that optimization continues until the game's full release. The game does have bugs. My first city's save crashes the game. Made a new save that doesn't crash the game. At this state, stuff like this can happen but I don't regret buying it. The game right now is amazing, with potential to be perfect. After a few murders, the game can feel like the same thing happening over and over. Personally, this is fine because the process of solving murders is fun. Some progression systems beyond the sync disk upgrades would add a lot to the longevity of this game though. There is a social credit level that goes up as you complete murders, and once you get there you can retire and make a new city. You collect a lot of money in this game but it never felt like there was much to buy. Food is really cheap, the fines for getting caught and medical fees are also chump change after a few side jobs and murders. There are some things you can buy, but the sense of progression is really through sync disks that give bonuses to different stats or just give you an ability you didn't have before. It's good but I'm greedy and I want more.

This is a detective sim and combat is not the focus and is almost never mandatory. There are some side jobs that may require combat but they are not mandatory. Right now I don't believe you can shoot guns. You just hit people with them. This was the dev's choice to balance the game, but so long as the gun is a poor option (alerts enforcers in a certain radius to current location possibly) and a last resort it hopefully wouldn't be too ridiculous and could be a reward for a certain level of social credit. Maybe a new mode with guns? I doubt this is really the dev's top priority right now but the more crap you add to this game the more perfect it will become.

The moment to moment game play is the reason you should buy it regardless of anything I said before. I never really craved a detective game before I played this but the game is extremely good at making you feel like you are figuring this ♥♥♥♥ out all by yourself. The game is doing some stuff for you, but there is a lot of player agency here in how you keep your notes, how you decide what to do, where to go and how to investigate. There is emergent gameplay up the wazoo due to the AI implementations and simulation techniques. Here is one example.

After I solved my second murder, I was hungry, thirsty and cold walking along the street waiting for my next murder alert. I walk in a burger place and buy some soda and food. I eat the food, throw the trash on the ground and the lady at the counter calls me a jerk. I picked it up and threw it away to be nice and found a landline with the city directory and board with a bunch of side jobs. I take one asking to steal an envelope from this lady. I find where she lives with the directory, I break into her house and I'm deep into some real goblin ♥♥♥♥ reading through her emails when she gets home from work and sees me in there. She starts chasing me around the house, hitting me while I search for the front door which is still locked because I crawled in through a vent. We were locked in there together until I found the vent and got out without technically being caught. I ended up just moving on to the next murder...

Really cool game, and there is plenty I haven't mentioned. If you're into Immersive sim sandboxes, this is for you.

Very good, but here is a tip:

Summon a high-level friend for the whole game to play on easy mode.
