Cute quick simple game, great artwork, and some cats are trickier to find. Took about 12 minutes to 100%, but nothing beats a good ol' "wheres waldo" game.

Only gripe would be that the music was very loud, even on the lowest & I had to mute it in the end but otherwise lovely game.

I've played 35 hours (so far) in 3 days, so I thought this game was overdue for a review. I must admit I rarely do reviews but this game is something addictive!

The game play is engaging and there is never nothing to do. Constantly running new orders, upgrading your setup, making it more autonomous, and improving the ease of use for yourself to get about. Don't let the other reviews warn you off, inked bills rarely are a problem if you know how to avoid getting ink on them in the first place! (par story centric circumstances) And there are many methods to find marked bills, but most contacts don't care if you send them!

The story for the game is well written in its limited format of text messages and phone calls and very funny at times. The art style is unique and fits the theme of the game.

What I've also found outstanding is the developer team's commitment to the community. They actively listen to player feedback and are constantly working to improve the game based on suggestions and comments, as well as providing a feedback board for players to suggest & vote on features and improvements. There were some bugs & issues, such as with stuttering recently which has quickly been looked into for example, and I won't deny there are more bugs and quality of life that can be worked on. However it's clear that they care deeply about creating a top-notch gaming experience.

Overall, this game is a must-play for anyone looking for a fun and addicting simulation game.

Early Access Review
I feel cheated playing this game. Yes, it is fun for maybe an hour but there is a tedious grind that is so unbelievably boring and that comes from me who plays gathering jobs in MMOs and plays games that you paint walls! There hasn't been any update or news for roughly 4 months and bug reports, ranging from little things to actual game breaking bugs, though acknowledged are ignored in terms of any feedback and not fixed. A lot of assets have been ripped from their previous game Youtubers Life which was a fun game in a way itself for a small time. I had higher hopes for this and sadly did not deliver. It would seem to just be a quick money grab using old assets and a community they have access too. I do check regularly for any news, update or anything but sadly in the months' nothing new has been stated and this game is now gathering dust as the bugs are game breaking and the gameplay too boring to keep repeating.

GAME TIME

This game has a lot of long term repeatability, with the scoring system (missing a leaderboard), difficulty, customizable settings and countless maps to try. Also the story to each of your maps which you can choose on the selection screen. The beginning of each map can be a bit repetitive as your goals are exactly the same when you first land but choosing different landing zones, maps and sponsors will give you a chance to face different challenges each time.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
STORY

It is a city builder so I wasn't expecting much but there is a story to each map, they don't tell you much what to expect so the suspense of what will happen will keep you going. Though this is your average City builder really, with a few unique quirks, the story does give its own edge to it. The fact they don't tell you what to expect can give you that excitement for the first play through. Here is hoping they include more down the line.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
DIFFICULTY

The difficulty depends on the settings you choose, they all face their own quirks and demanding situations. The game is very customizable in that aspect. To an experienced city builder this game can be quite easy to more of a casual I would say to build yourself up the levels. The fun is in finding that point that is not a disaster but enough to push you into that stage of What do I do now? And figuring out how to save your colony. Think of being a owner of an ant colony looking after your pets, food, water, shelter, you get the idea (though personally I love the drones more than keeping the humans alive)

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
GRAPHICS & AUDIO

I have fallen in love with the music of this game, it suits it well and not just the simple instrumental pieces but the well fitting radio songs. I usually have netflix/youtube playing on one screen and my game another but found myself pausing just to focus and listen to the upbeat songs pushing me forward to build a utopia on this otherwise devastating planet. With the different radio settings I am sure you will be able to find a channel that suits your attitude. General ambiance is missing slightly, I would wish for more harsher sound of the atmosphere I am currently zoomed on, harsh gales, louder meteor strikes etc. It is missing that OOMPH, or the loneliness of the lifeless planet or hustle and bustle when your city is thriving.

Graphics are a bit of a disappointment. Feels a little lackluster for a game of this era, textures of the world are blotchy and some people are experiencing graphic problems but I will get on that later. The animations are well done, amusing to watch the drones run around getting stuff done, the different biomes and humans hopping around, there was some love put into it. I appreciate the effort put in real life locations from Mars, bringing a bit of real life sci fi to this game.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
BUGS

There have been a few bugs reported, as with any just released game going out to the masses. Most of outcries are from people not understanding the mechanics of the game but a handful are legit bugs. The main one as mentioned above is the graphical issue, this makes it so the red sand of mars is more grey and white. This is due to a graphics card compatibility issue from what we can make out. Though which one we can not be certain. There are a few mechanical issues people are struggling with, such as AI not doing as they are ordering or not doing things their typical AI programming should indicate. This can be frustrating but the Devs do seem to be listening, fingers crossed, and a few tweaks should happen. As of yet I have not personally come across any game breaking bugs or crashes.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

PRICE / QUALITY

This game has a high pricing point, and to be honest though I do enjoy the game, I do not think it is currently worth the price that it asks. I would wait for a sale to knock off a bit. £25 would of been a more reasonable price for what is to offer. This game has just been released though, so more features may be added in the long term. If your looking for a game to sink hours in and forget the world, this is the game for you. If your looking for a fast paced excitement filled disaster zone, maybe wait a bit for the modders to get the ball rolling.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

OVERALL

From my personal point of view there are things I love and dislike about this game.
I love the music and the animations, to be able to get me off netflix and fully focus on a game is a miracle in itself. The actually building aspect as I am OCD with getting things in a pretty layout to the point of "wasting" resources to make sure it looks symmetrical, for this aspect I love that you can blueprint essentially then turn them off so they wont be built till you have the resources effectively pre planning. The game is slow at first and every game feels the same at that point, It can be a chore until after the founder stage. I would hope you could personally change the settings for the disasters for areas (more customizable) I want more excitement and danger for this supposedly dangerous planet, that is where the fun is. There is little to no in game tutorial to what to do, if you are a newbie to such games this can be daunting, but a simple search on youtube or google can net a few good results, remember kids Easy Start is not a tutorial just a instant game button. The world of mars textures are too low res especially in comparison of the drones and buildings, I am waiting on someone to create a mod to up this, I am terrible at modding myself, especially with textures. The game is a little overpriced for what it gives, yes it is fun, its a good concept but there are many game already out there that are similar. This game is missing a bit of a oomph to it to set itself a mark above the rest.

Though I would still recommend this game to city builders and survival enthusiastic like myself, it has entertained me, I have and will keep getting my time from this game. And given that the company gave the modders the tools they need I am SO looking forward to what the community brings to it.

Great game. Very similar to Killing Floor 1 in fact little has changed but the graphics and the difficulty. But nether the less a great game in its own right. Cannot wait to see what future patches bring to this.
