I can't recommend this game at all, it suffers from to many mechanics that just feel like punishment or massively decrease my enjoyment of the game.
Cultures are so unbalanced, some are just so much better than the others that it isn't a choice.
Khmer is absurdly over-tuned giving both of the best resources, food and production, in absurd numbers
City management is boring. The district and stability system suck. The entire culture system is just punishment. Oh your neighbor chose x? Enjoy a revolt because you won't swap.
Money feels kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ when all the buildings start costing 10k in the medieval era
Religion is flavourless bonuses that feel lifeless
Warfare is punishment, its not fun or enjoyable.
Win? Suffer attrition because your deep in enemy land despite being fine before making peace and can still attack you because reasons.
Auto resolve? Don't, ai literally wasted all the reinforcements nearby and despite having 1:1 in numbers and on flat terrain WAS ENTIRELY WIPED.
Additionally why can't I CONTROL RETREATS this is especially annoying since you can just get attacked by another stack leading you to lose armies that you wouldn't normally lose because YOU COULD RETREAT THEM TO SAFETY and not have them get ganked by 3 other stacks when you have yours in the opposite direction that was randomly decided. It feels like someone played EU4 and saw that retreat system and went like yeah I like that but lets make a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ version of their band aid fix.
Warfare also sucks because you need to invest pops into it making it even more resource intensive in comparison to other 4xs. This would be fine if they only costed 1 pop but late game they cost more pops! Yeah sure that's supposed to represent more realistic causalities etc etc but the problem is you've invested considerably more money and production into these units

Great game idea
, first I'd like to point out that this game isn't perfect and is built around the multiplayer, secondly this game is buggy BUT it is updated frequently so fixes come. I recommend you have a good comp (not the min specs at least the recommended if not better) and have the patience to learn the game or use youtube or guides to learn. Galactic war at this point it isn't personally very interesting but I came to play this game against people and not ai.

Tips:
  • Learn from those who are better, youtube, twitch, guides on steam, etc.
  • Small systems and not ridiculously huge planets,, don't make em to big, large systems and huge planets increase chances of crashes(your computer, not the planets)
  • Get mods,, they help, lots. PA Mod Manager[forums.uberent.com]
  • Patience is golden,, systems take time to load, games tend lag when past 5000k units
  • Don't rage,, the pathing maybe a pain but it's better than it was (trust me)
  • REMEMBER TO HALLEY

P.S. Read recent reviews some of the older un-updated reviews don't reflect the current state of the game and if you find a bug it's better to report it at the ubernet
