If you've got hundreds or thousands of hours in Wurm Online/Unlimited. This is a modern take on that style of game.

It's not for everyone, that is clear.

Plenty of room for improvement and additional features to flesh it out into a deep sandbox. Very happy to support this project now. I am not a backer but I have watched this project grow for years.

Offering a season pass in the month the game was shut down for one the best received updates the game ever had.

Record Profits.

Top 50 in steam sales this month.

Bezo's needs a new yacht after shelling out for his Venice wedding.

Demand refunds on everything, this is a rug pull.

I've been keeping my eye on SunnySide for a long while, I'm not a backer or such so nothing biased here with the sunken cost.

SunnySide is one of, if not. The best life-sim/farming sim there is to date. Incredible immersion, beautiful weather effects and a deep farming system which doesn't hold your hand. It's a very much, here's your land. Have fun chum.

Though there are some issues which I need to highlight which may or may not sway your decision to purchase.

- Optimisation: is sketchy. If you can get past the jarring stutters in the town and the mines. You're golden, I truly believe you need to make your own decision on this. (Try the demo, it's running on the latest patch!)

- Relationships: While, I'm not generally one to care for these systems there are others who do. Each to their own. In it's current iteration there's a lot to be left desired. No marriage, or child system (Stardew, basically). Again, I'm not fussed about this but I can see this being a major issue for most.

- Economy: It's uuuh... a little scuffed to say the least. Play how you want to play, it's entirely up to you. But the best way as of right now to make major cash is just selling gems from the mines. Each to their own, play however you feel you need to play. It's a sandbox, make it as difficult or easy as you wish.

- Bugs: There is bugs, some minor some major. All of which are being worked on as we speak. Hell as of writing this I'm watching one of the developers in their discord do some bug squashing and other related tasks while they stream it. They recently added NVIDIA DLSS which has been a very beneficial addition and has fixed a majority of my performance issues (bar the stuttering in town and caves). There's some building objects which are currently bugged and can't be used but they're minor and will get fixed as soon as possible.

My general verdict is that this should have been an Early Access release, personally. There's a lot of issues which aren't mentioned above but the overall experience for me has been very positive. My hope is that they continue to develop this game, listen to community feedback often and continue to add more to the game post launch and not abandon it. They recently received a steam deck and they're now working on making the game deck compatible too.

My theory is that the publisher rushed this game out of the door against the developers wishes and I truly hope the publisher gets off their case and let them build this game the way they wanted without having a pair of money grabbing eyes looking over their shoulders.
[EDIT - Wow I was right. The publisher were awful. The original DEV NOW HAS THE RIGHTS. 2.0 is coming.]

45.7 hrs in the last two weeks. 86.7 on record. Day 1 Player, waited for it to cook a little. Finally, some damn good food.

Yeah... I've been playing every single inch of this game and loving every second. It's space minecraft but seamless and you CAN bump into random players.

Just claimed an entire system (Renamed it) and a planet near heavy trafficked areas and people are randomly coming across my WIP base.

8/10 due to some online bugs (nothing game breaking) some more polish and it's spot on.

19 + Hours on Wurm Unlimited.

4000+ Hours on Wurm Online

Review of the Unlimted Version

________________________________________

This is not a walk in the palk, however. Wurm Unlimited provides you the tools to make it so. Make it as hard or as easy as you like, it's the standalone game without any subscription to pass level 20 in skills, nor is there any way to purchase in game coin, unless the server you play on enables a way.

I reccomend this game only if you have a group of people to play with. 3+ should be good.

Think of this game as an extremely intricate minecraft like game. The literal definition of Survival.

If you can Get past the graphics, you'll find an extremely addicting and rewarding game with mystical creatures to slay or tame, form alliances and kingdoms and wage war between each other.

The combat system is a little... "complicated". It'll take you a while to understand how everything works in Wurm but don't fret, the wiki is there to help and will explain everything.

Take your time, don't rush. Find some friends and get wurming <3

I also, reccomend joining "Primordial - Tranquility". You'll see me and a few other people setting up a kingdom of our own and we're willing to help out anyone who passes by!
