43 hours into this and I am loving it. I love how quick and responsive the UI is compared to something like Total War. Every race is very unique. Combat has incredible amounts of depth. It is a really good idea to play each race a bit so you understand to some level what their units can do in battle and counter it. Some complaints about the UI being a bit hard to understand are valid, but like any 4X game it takes some time and effort to learn. Sectors/exploitation were very difficult for me to understand at first. I'd descibe this as a combination of Civ and XCom, and it's awesome.
