I dislike this game most of the time

I just finished this game in two days and god it was one of the most amazing games I've ever played. it was honestly one of the story games ive ever played as it was able to get me emotional about characters because of its amazing style, art and mix of reality and fiction in its story beats.
While there are a few flaws like the speed of the walk animation the entire game is optimized to make the walking speed be ok and its possible to add a mod for a run button. ("I didn't but it was a nice option) and the human pixel faces don't show much individuality but thats patched up with the character pictures looking amazing and unique and the pixel art of the creatures in the story.

This is going to be tough to rate but after finishing it, Id say that if its on sale and you like stories with a lot of lore with an encyclopedia to boot, then go for it.
pros
great character development
good art
character design is top notch for the most part
a compelling mystery in the beginning
kept me engaged for most of it
the CGs were pretty lit
5-10 hour story based on reading speed
however,
the characters besides the protags were kinda flat for minor such as the shop keep and stock holders, it felt like they came from an entirely different game, but thats more of an personal descion
the system lacks a back log and many times it will feel like you missed something because of its transitions to other concepts and positions
there is a huge spilt from the original story that continues until the end of the game
this story line while interesting, is flawed in how overexplained it is, as it explains itself more then a few times and mostly on the easily understood parts while rushing on its ending
the theme is pretty touchy as it kinda doesn't have much of an impact on me even with the amount of work they put in it with how it feels disconnected from the original story

while i sound like i hate this game, it still has a lot of positive and well written moments that make me want to continue reading and discussing this story!
