The amount of times I keep failing to find keywords I've seen elsewhere because it's not in "the right clue exactly" is stupid.

It's kinda neat but I was very spoonfed, and the game isn't long enough to feel like I got my money's worth from it. There's a case where you have to organize the chronology of it, which you have no solid indicators of so you just kinda guess at it, and it ends up being a fairly boneheaded order for it to have shaken out so it'll take a while to guess.

The last case practically spills out onto your lap, but the way one of the rooms is organized is stupid. You have a bunch of corpses around the table but their positions on the floor don't even correlate to where they'd have been sitting so you just brute force names onto the new faces.

I want to recommend this game, cause I had fun, but being objective, this sucked. The story forgot who the protagonist was, the quest cutoffs are stupidly narrow, and the gameplay is largely simplified from Cybersleuth, a decade old game at this point. Balance changes were made across the board from Cyber Sleuth, but these only result in further sanitizing the experience to the point where you can realistically only play it the way we played Pokemon as kids, punch thing very hard.

I could wax on how bad the story is, but this is a public space, so I'll say it's terrible because of the structure, because it's an awful time travel plot, and because it doesn't really make much of a message of anything. There's no arc words to all of it, because the arc is a circle.

This game is bad. And they should feel bad for taking ten years to make something that I struggle to find redeemable qualities in. It has a lot of neat ideas, but it didn't use any of them well. There's the makings of a good RPG in here, with practically every mistake you could conceivably make along the way.

I have a 3060 and a Ryzen 5600x, I can't hit 60FPS without framegen. With framegen, some parts of the game still absolutely destroy my framerate. I like monhun, I like what I've played, but as much messing about in the config as I've been doing, I still can't fix how horribly optimised so much in this game is. They need to improve this, it's completely ridiculous that I am a generation ahead of their recommended specs in both regards and can't even hit 60FPS.

Since hitting high rank, the game has been unplayable, as my framerate is incredibly unstable despite lowering settings further.

Small update: managed to recover frames by rebooting my whole PC, some memory leak persisted between opening and closing the application.

Early Access Review
What a fun EA. Couple bugs, couple things I didn't like, engine sounds thing I would love to see fixed, I like chase cam, I also like hearing my car at 8000RPM, I couldn't have both at the time. I also disliked needing to go to a parking area to use their ramps, they should be visible like the rest, it's not like they're any harder to access. It's less loading screens between if I don't have anything to do at the PA, seems simple and easy to implement.

The balance is weird, like I don't hate that there's fast AI but I also don't like when my entire race depends on making the AI crash (Melancholic.) Or simply dumping the whole bottle of nitrous just to keep up (Dark Tengu, Offensive Lineman (who is harder than his boss by the way.))

This was fine in PS2 iterations as the battles initiated in realtime, so you could sneakily worm your way in front of someone you challenged and block them and their insane acceleration, but here you just frantically try and keep up and not instantly die, and pray they slow down for some reason. These ones with unreasonable acceleration are impossible to beat on the open road barring hilarious crashes into traffic. And while the game encourages starting fights in advantageous areas, I don't think that should be standard practice for every battle, my opponent shouldn't get top speed and acceleration eclipsing anything possible for me in a completely straight area. Those straights are *massive* and sometimes they take the long way, so you just might not be able to battle them until like 30 minutes pass if you're waiting for a good spot on the C1 cause they're aaaaall the way down in Daikoku or something.

Something I did like, was that I'm not great at tuning cars, racing game fan, can't tune, horrid I know, but the gear ratios included the kmh each gear could max out at. This made doing so *so much easier.* It was so easy to gauge and estimate the effect it would have on your acceleration, if it'd make your speed plateau early. And sometimes you had to buff out being stuck in transmission lag because 3-4 are too close manually, but it was so easy to figure that stuff out. Incredible QOL improvement there.

Just feels like something isnt clicking, and the slowness of combat since I can't maneuver my squad all at once and have to wait for *every action* just kinda compounds my dissatisfaction. Could be for you, isn't for me.

The game is still good, it's got a lot of polished mechanics and whatnot. It just doesn't bring me the same kind of enjoyment as playing XCOM instead.

Honestly really good DLC story content wise, solid amount of good characters. It's just 30 dollars hurts, but I think they at least delivered the quality and quantity of the price tag.

A much needed improvement over the predecessor, though perhaps one of the shorter grinds to "finish."

Disgaea 7 is a good entry in the series, and one I'm sure to revisit. While not the best story the series has ever had, it's far from the worst, and the story maps are fun and enjoyable, with plenty of avenues for both strategy and brute force to shine in their own ways.

The item world changes are also a great improvement to reduce how tedious it could be to traverse the 100 entire floors of an item, though the game over relies on the hospital gacha for a lot of endgame grinding.

Great game though.
