Great fun. Banged it out with a friend in a single two-hour session - the puzzles are all difficult and exotic enough to be a very satisfying challenge without ruining your day or feeling unfair. A must-play!

ME1: A seamless remaster of one of the most enjoyable, immersive, aesthetically vindicating games of the generation. Have been longing and dreaming about doing a Big Replay for so long now that I was worried it wouldn't hold up, but a few hours in it's just been like.... coming home.

ME2: TBD

A rip-roarin' prequel to the unimpeachable Wolfenstein: The New Order. While lacking that game's incredible cinematic depth, epic scope of time and variety of locations and missions, this is still an excellent gory FPS rampage/stealth assassin journey through a tight set of gorgeous locations(including escaping from the actual Castle Wolfenstein for the first half; great to see that finally folded into this soft-rebooted timeline). Great to spend more time killin' Nazis w/ B.J. Blazkowicz in general, and the plot sets up the beginning of The New Order perfectly - I'm stoked to immediately start playing the latter again now after finishing this!

I feel like "Sefton Hill" isn't actually the name of the game's director, or of any person at all - it's the name of the top-secret crash site of whatever shard of an alien spacecraft was reverse-engineered to obtain the advanced technology used to make this BAFFLINGLY advanced magnum opus of an experience.

This game came out TEN YEARS AGO - how is it STILL the most well-wrought, larger-than-life, gorgeous-looking, hyper-detailed-and-cinematic-down-to-the-last-atom game on the market? An insane fantasy come to life. Everyone involved should be hailed for the rest of their careers. The best.

Visually barren and foggy; boring sparsely-detailed retrieval of goofy "salvage" items(eg. clown horns and silly hats), hyperactive-voiced matchmaking lobbys - feels like a D-grade 2010 game getting a second life as bait for melodramatic Twitch streamers to scream their way through despite none of it being remotely scary(like, even in a brainless jumpscare way). Did not match that awesome/atmospheric trailer at all.

The stuff that AAA action/sci-fi dreams are made of. Gorgeous graphics, classic gameplay mechanics of old(save stations, health packs, countable ammo of different types, gradually-acquired weapons and upgrades), an awe-inspiringly beautiful "industrial space engineering" setting, perfect difficultly-trajectory on Hard, inventive mechanics.... just pick it up, ASAP.

Scariest game I've played yet. Legitimately the stuff of nightmares. Well, well worth the price with the current number of levels, but am already eagerly awaiting more. And the attention to detail in recreating this whole world of 1990s empty-school-at-night aesthetics is truly moving.

If you're a fan of EXTREMELY well-done, hair-raising horror, or grew up in the '90s at all, this is a stone-cold must-play.

Unfathomably beautiful, with great straightforward gameplay, puzzles that are equally challenging and satisfying, and the kind of immersive atmosphere dreams are made of. A must-play.

Beautiful black-and-white visuals and increasingly daunting terror. The purest noir horror I've ever come by so far, game or otherwise.
