One thing Covid-19 has taught me is the importance of change. The temporary permanence of it all would rattle even the hardest of hearts. It is with this in mind that I have changed my Steam Avatar for the first time since my account's inception. Elle Macpherson provided my profile with a certain 'joie de vivre' and it is with this specific ethos that I have selected my new avatar to be the timeless and infinitely charming, Françoise Hardy.
But Hardy's association with my profile is beyond the skin-deep connotations of what an avatar represents; one of the aesthetic underpinnings of why Françoise Hardy was so widely accepted was her androgynous style, her ability to morph into whatever reflection of herself she wanted people to see. I feel, unequivocally, that this represents the next phase of my Steam career (besides, you know, actually playing my games for a change) and I hope you guys appreciate the thought I put into this as much as I do.
