There are over 120 heroes each with around 4 unique abilities, and 200 items available for choosing to each and every hero in a given match. With so many options and avenues of play, the game challenges players to think critically and to identify what details matter the most in winning the game. It encourages players to be creative and to out-wit their opponents through its intricate playground of items, interactions, and positioning. As much as it is a very competitive game, I think it can totally be played casually. I remember when starting out playing, most of my enjoyment came from simply discovering new and fun ways to play the game with little care about whether or not it's the best way.

Teamwork in this game is fantastic when it works well, but be sure to not dwell on the mistakes of your allies, because your rank represents your skill, so just focus on your own performance and always think about how you can improve. And do your sanity a favour and mute the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

If I was to not recommend this game, after all of my 7000 hours spent playing, I'm sure it would mean that I hate myself. But the game is unparalleled, there's just nothing else like it, and I don't regret the time spent playing if it meant those 7000 hours would have been spent on playing other games. It's not for everyone but I recommend those who are interested in picking up a competitive title to give this one a try. (10/10)
