It's Persona set in a High-Fantasy realm with a mix-and-match class system instead of the sacrifice-and-fuse Pokemon system. Social Links are bit streamlined and less anxiety inducing, with correct responses giving currency instead of bond points. Some of the writing in specific arcs is a little on the nose, but it's still better than the fare from many other mainstream RPGs coming out right now.

That said, there is a shocking absence of older goth women to romance so it categorically fails to reach "greatest ATLUS game of all time" status.

Still would rate it a 10/10, though.

On paper, this game has no right to be as good as it is. It's a semi-immersive driving game with some of the trappings of the survival and extraction shooter genres. It has a pretty decent story with great voice acting and gives me the same kind of vibes as Dredge, oddly enough.

I loved the game all the way up to the ending, which was okay but a bit anti-climactic. Other than that, the game's main downside is that it could have been a bit harder. Most of the challenge was just overcoming a series of annoyances.

This game had potential. Unfortunately, it tries to do too many things and fails at all of them. I almost want to say that this product suffers from being a game; it would be better suited as a TV mini-series or something. Pretty much anything that can be qualitatively described as a game mechanic is bad. No, I'm serious.

If you're expecting something on par with Life is Strange, set your expectations way, WAY lower.

The good:
- The setting
- Sound design, voice acting, and soundtrack
- The mystery behind the events of the game

The bad:
- This is a TERRIBLE port. If you insist on playing it on PC do so with a controller.
- Despite what you might have heard, the combat is not hard, it's just bad. It's a essentially a bad Bloodborne ripoff.
- Other than the mystery behind your transformation into a vampire, the story isn't very good.
- When you're not combat or talking to people, you have a lot of tedious running around to do.
- Your choices very rarely matter, despite what the game preaches to you during the startup sequence.
- The morality system and its effects on the XP system feel false and make very little sense within the universe. It's a very game-y system, and it continuously reminds you how game-y it is, which takes you out of the setting.

The worst of all of these is the last. The game decides very early on what constitutes a morally good choice and that filters all the way down to what ending you get. Very little thought when into it, and the framework was probably cooked up by some rich yuppie totally unaccustomed to human suffering. Hell, they probably did it while in line at Starbucks.

The message the developers send in the end is that sitting on a high horse and ignoring the suffering of others constitutes a morally righteous choice. Bad form Dontnod.
