Most mid racing game I have ever played.
Feels like a weird mix between Forza and NFS.
The graphics are atrocious for a game from 2023. Forced TAA makes everything blurry and disgusting looking. No DLSS. No FOV settings. Capped to 60fps. Racing line is very inconsistent.
A somewhat fast and easy 100%
Hopefully I get to keep this one in my library when the servers gets shut off :)

The best Borderlands game since 2

Story:
The story isn't complete ass, and actually is fun playing through. Most of the cringe writing is also gone, although there still is some, but that is probably impossible to completely remove in games that have a focus on comedy. Also seeing our own character, with our chosen cosmetics, in cutscenes is nice.

Gameplay:
The gunplay is a straight upgrade from 3, which was already pretty good. Weapons feel impactful, movement is fluid, and the combat loop is tremendously satisfying.
Exploration also feels really good. The ability to spawn your vehicle on demand and easily transition from story mission to quick collectibles, random world event boss, and side activities creates a fun and seamless exploration loop. My only significant complaint in this area is the amount of invisible walls blocking off seemingly accessible areas, which often interrupts the flow of exploration.

Endgame:
The farming has been made more accessible, with us being able to respawn bosses without having to go back to the main menu. Massive for co-op. But, bosses often have loot pools containing multiple dedicated legendary drops. While getting several Legendaries per kill seems good, when you are hunting for one specific item with particular stat bonuses, constantly getting the "wrong" Legendary quickly becomes annoying.
Also, the decision to make Legendary Class Mods non-weighted toward the character you're playing is a terrible choice, because you will be farming a boss and often get multiple COMs for other characters than the one you're playing, before getting the one you want for you're own character.

Once a powerful build is assembled, the available endgame content is shallow. The primary activity, called Wild Cards, consists of running through already completed main story missions with a rotating set of often annoying modifiers. The rewards are usually money, XP, and Eridium. All of which becomes pretty worthless after a certain point. The guaranteed legendary drop is nice, but it’s probably faster and more efficient to farm that item directly from its dedicated source boss.
Similarly, the new endgame difficulty system, akin to Mayhem Levels, feels unsatisfying. It’s less of a true difficulty spike and more of a DPS check, ensuring your gear and build still holds up. The difference in enemy damage and challenge between difficulty tiers is minuscule, which fails to truly alter the gameplay experience.
I really hope that when they eventually add raids and raid bosses, that they are actually challenging.

Overall the game is still very good, and they still got plenty of time to fix things and add more content. The game is better than BL2 was at launch, but I'm worried that they won't surpass it at its fully completed state, for me at least.

Very good game.
Amazing atmosphere, but not super scary, though definitely disturbing. The story is phenomenal, and the characters are fairly interesting.
I didn't expect the game to be very difficult, since SH2R was pretty easy, so I chose hard combat, and was pleasantly surprised that it was actually challenging. Sadly a big reason that it was kinda hard is that the combat is kinda slow and clunky.
After having done 2 playthroughs, I really like the way they have done NG+. Some of the cutscenes have been slightly altered, which made the 2nd playthrough much more enjoyable. It also tells you what cutscenes have changed, so you dont skip them by mistake. Do kinda miss more unlockable items/weapons in NG+, and would have loved unlockable costumes, like RE.
