Walgreens, based on one single experience in my life, is an awful place to buy lube. Got some lube. Went up to the register. Lady in front of me had only one or two things, but it took a good 5 minutes for the guy working the register to get her out the door. Finally it was my turn. He gives me the total (something like 8 dollars), I had him a twenty. I watch as he punches 2.0 into the register (it displayed on the customer-facing screen), then 2000, then 2.00, then 200.0. Finally he punches in 22.00 and seems satisfied, before telling me what my change was. I told him he put the wrong number in, and that was incorrect change. He got visibly agitated that I told him it was wrong, not realizing it was in my favor I guess, and tried again.

Once again, he punches in 200, then 2.00, then lands on 22.00. I have no idea how stupid this guy can possibly be but at this point I Just want to leave. "It still says your change is 14 dollars". "You put in 22, its 20. two. zero. its just two zero." So he tries again, and immediately punches in 200. "Whatever. Just give me my change, I've been here long enough. No wonder it took the lady in front of me 5 minutes to buy one thing." AND HE LOSES IT Insults me, insults my purchase, makes fun of me for buying lube, tells me to go home and enjoy myself, etc. I asked him if he was aware he could get fired in an instant for that kind of comment on someone's purchases and he doubled down, proclaiming "I'm the manager. I can say whatever I want." no, dumbass, you're obviously not the manager, and even if you were, no, you can't. Left, wrote a letter to corporate, never saw him again.
