Given it's the first Storn (2008), there's no real review to be written as this game cimmented the things to come in later entries.
HOWEVER: Mission Mode is horrible! You can't progress in the MAIN STORY if you don't have enough points so you are obligated to complete a bunch of sub-quests in order to be able to finish it.
I had to run in circles for AT LEAST 30 mins. and even leave the game open to complete 20hrs of gameplay, which you grant me more points! *tableflips* [I'll come back to this review when I'm more calm]

Great game, almost a perfect successor to the Legacy of Goku series. In the next attempt however, there are a few things that need to be implemented:

• Fixing the Ki charge colour when transformed
  
• Expanding the interactivity while exploring
  
• Battle effects true to franchise (aka screen shaking while charging ki with a lot of power level, while landscape around get altered - rocks destroyed, waves made, even storms happen if there's greater power; teleporting while exchanging fists and kicks accompanied by shockwaves - it was already implemented once in Tenkaichi 3; Greater scenario destruction aka water impacts, etc)
  
• Real open world experience, not locked through "region selection"
  
• More areas (aka the Other World, Heaven, hell, etc)
  
• Include more story parts (aka the snakeway fight and Garlic Junior)
  
• Include the movies and Dragon Ball GT - As a result of Dragon ball Super being created, both Dragon Ball GT and the movies have been discontinued. Since there's already Fusion of universes in the game, through the inclusion of Mira and Towa and there's also the use of Trunks' Time Machine, the same could be use to travel to specific timelines, one when where Dragon Ball GT takes place, and another for the movies since they connect.

Great game, but does anyone know the meaning behind note in the Cellar section?
It reads: «B3F Combination 1909»

Arcade Mode completed with that ORIE in standard difficulty setting
only the final match was really intense; enourmous difficulty gap for casual/unadvised players on the final stage. Lost once.
It manages to capture an "anime aesthetic", but the whole experience could be better overall

Just play it... I never felt so disturbed after finishing a game, but believe me it's a good game. ...I'm not telling you why...
Anyway, among its genre it could easily be in Top 5 of all time!
