I bought this game years ago at launch, played two missions, was bored out of my mind, and refunded it.

Half a decade later, the AC8 trailer convinced me to give this franchise another chance, and boy am I glad I did.

This game is super fun: the dogfights are tight, bomb raids are shockingly fun, and the nonsensical story is just good enough to anchor all the missions together.

The only seriously bad thing about the game is that a massive number of jets are locked behind overpriced DLC. There are 22 DLC jets and 26 in the base game; it's ridiculous, and it makes the game a lot less fun if you don't spend the extra money. I recommend waiting for a huge sale.

The story is woke garbage, angry lesbians, weak men and improbable female leaders everywhere, you can skip it entirely.

The graphics are OK but far too brown. I recommend using NVIDIA filters (or ReShade) to add HDR and dynamic contrast to make the game look better.

The gameplay is very simplistic but fun enough solo; it also has co-op but it's far too easy for that. I'm guessing the only way to make this game co-op viable is to turn every enemy into a bullet sponge? meh.

Buy it only on a deep discount.

A shockingly primitive game in every aspect, terribly unbalanced gameplay with a massive amount of grinding needed, ugly graphics (it's a 2015 PS Vita game tbf), really bad sound design and OST and a mediocre story and characters. It's only worth it if you're desperate for a Digimon fix, and only if it's on a pretty deep discount.

Genuinely the worst combat I've ever seen in a soulslike to date.

The main premise of the game is controlling a hot chick... that gets instantly mogged by a much hotter chick in the first scene of the game, who thought that was a good idea?

But that's nothing compared to the combat, it's trash, her attacks have ZERO REACH and she moves unbelievably slowly, her dodges don't cover any ground so you're always open to a second attack and EVEN A PERFECT PARRY/DODGE WILL LEAVE YOU OPEN TO SECONDARY ATTACKS!!!! WHO TF MADE THIS GARBAGE?!!!!

Oh and the enemies have an AOE attack that cannot be dodged or blocked, you must run away from it but you're always stuck in an animation so you take crazy damage and if you're not her sprint takes so long to start that you take damage anyway... I wish I had refunded this ♥♥♥♥ when I had the chance.

The 4th best Resident Evil ever, IMO.

The trailers did not make a good impression on me, so I had low expectations coming in, but I was absolutely blown away by it. It's basically a sequel to 2 and 4, and it ties up many loose ends from the '90s.

Letting the player pick between 1st and 3rd person was genius; I thought that would result in both being done poorly, but CAPGOD nailed them both. I'm not going to spoil anything by going into detail, but I absolutely love this game.

Shockingly good. I never thought I'd ever enjoy a tower defense game, but this one is so good it has convinced me to revisit the entire genre.

This is one of the worst games I ever preordered and yet another great example of why you should never preorder games. The only good thing about it is the setting of Hong Kong, but even that was done better in Sleeping Dogs years ago. Everything else about this game sucks.

Graphics, gameplay, and especially the sidequests were much improved from the first game, but the main story is a big downgrade. Overall, I think I enjoyed this game a bit more simply because they cut down on the "RGG silliness" even further than before.

Very nice change of pace from mainline yakuza games, a bit more mature but honestly not as much as I wanted it to be, it still has some RGG "silliness" in it that it would've been better off without.

I remember picking this as my first souls-like years ago because of its sci-fi setting. Back then I only lasted around 45 minutes before giving up; the whole genre just seemed far too difficult for me. But now, more than half a decade later and with six souls-likes perfected, I've decided to come back and finish it.

I'm struggling. Badly.

This game is the most brutal and unforgiving of all the souls-likes I've played so far. Blocking is completely useless in this one; if you don't dodge, even the weakest enemy in the game can two-shot you in FULL HEAVY MK.2 ARMOR!!! since I'm a "sit-behind-your-shield" kinda guy this essentially ruins the game for me.

Not sure I can finish this one to be honest, but hey, the story seems awesome and if you like dodging-focused gameplay this one is for you, just make sure you stick with the lynx armor.
