I replayed this game from the beginning after it's full release.

The game has it's problems, but I still enjoyed it.
It's not too different from Slime Rancher 1, but there are some notable differences.
They've made material gathering a bit different, you have to explore to find the resources, in comparison to placing down a machine and praying you get the right materials you need. Although, Silky Sand is the bane of my existence. They've even included little flags for you to put up to mark where you've found the materials, but I found them useless after finding out the resource spots disappear after a certain amount of gathering.

I did find the game a bit grindy, which I am okay with. It's not a ridiculous amount of grinding as the other reviews would make you feel it is. You just have to put in a little bit of effort to gather items, but you can find a process that works for you and is efficient.

I found myself spending a lot more time outside of my farm, which surprised me. Kind of made it slow and difficult to gain newbucks to upgrade my equipment, but yet again, it's something you do need to just put a little more effort into doing. It's not really that difficult to manage your time between working on your farm and exploration.

The one thing I did feel a bit disappointed with is the Grey Labyrinth. A majority of my time has been sunk into figuring out these seemingly impossible doors that need to be open, or these buttons that are just out of reach. I was always just walking around looking for areas that I probably didn't look at, just to find out I did one big loop on myself.
I think a little more guidance on the Grey Labyrinth would be nice. Gigi is there to help you, but she doesn't do a lot of helping more than dropping useless lore on us about her family and why she wanted to break away from being a simple rancher.
