Edit as of 5/5/2024: It would appear Sony has officially backed down on the PSN requirement, I won't be changing my review just yet as the word of a massive corporation isn't worth the toilet paper it's written on. If it actually sticks though, I'll change this to an outright positive and say you should absolutely buy this game at full price. Also, go pull this stunt on the other publishers who require a 3rd party account/launcher for their games. We just proved it works.

Original Review: This is legitimately one of the best games of the past five years at least. It's fantastic, that's why the backlash to the godawful policy change is so massive. All the weasel warnings they designed specifically to be ignored don't matter, Sony outright showed players that a PSN account was completely unnecessary. They have no one to blame but themselves. Don't go after Arrowhead and don't buy this thing unless Sony completely reverses course, you don't need it that bad.

Sidenote: Can we go give all the other publishers who require a 3rd party account/launcher the same treatment? Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, etc all need a good kicking too.

It's a short, fun, and cheap homage to that weird time between about '98-'99 and '01 where video games were just finally figuring out that whole 3D thing. For $5 it's an absolute steal.

If you don't rock and stone, you ain't coming home.
