Putting aside the whole Kagawa issue which is really disgusting on RGG West's part this remake overall is just not good.

The story as a whole no longer flows evenly and has zero consequences along with becoming a borderline fanfic because of this directors need to bring back dead characters

They've gutted the substories, Removed fan favourite characters and mechanics and locked most of Kiryu's basic combat techniques that you start with in other games behind a linear skill tree that lacks any sort of build variety.

The new biker gang storyline is pretty dull with it being a reskin of clan battles which is insane considering what we got in Lost Judgment's biker substory, & along with the LaLaLa Friends system being a rehash of Aloha Friends system from Infinite Wealth with even less rewards attached just feels like it was added to bulk up an already dull game.

I'm a huge fan of Yakuza/LaD who has played and owns every single game in the series (sometimes twice) and this is just a huge spit in the face to both long time fans and newcomers alike. Long time fans getting shafted with another remake that breaks and in some cases diminishes the original and new players getting yet another sub par experience.

Something in RGG's management and direction needs to change.
Going forward I will no longer be buying RGG games unless so serious change happens behind the scenes.

Everything about Code Vein II (CV2 going forward) feels like a huge step back from the first game which was already janky enough as is.

The fights don't reward any sort of well timed use of its skills and seems to push you towards light attack or heavy jump attack mixed with R2 spam depending on what weapon type you're using.

CV2's story is also pretty generic from what little I've played so far with it being your typical Anime like "Make friends & save the world" storyline

The bosses in CV2 are the biggest gripe I have, Not only did I run into 3 re-skinned bosses in the story, plucked from dungeons across the map, they didn't even bother to change their move sets to make them at least seem unique. They're also not difficult fights with most being beaten with, you guessed it, Light Attack Spam

The open world is so lifeless too with next to nothing in it which makes me wonder if this was only added because of someone at Bandai Namco just wants Elden Ring in everything they do in some form or another.

The first game had a ton of issues but the blueprint was there for a good game, Not only have they not fixed anything I'd go as far as to say they've made it much worse overall.

Do I recommend this game: No

In its current state its hard to recommend this to anyone.

Performance is yet another UE5 disaster release filled with stuttering, texture pop in, FPS drops, random crashes.

Relaying on DLSS/FSR/Xess/TSR & Frame Gen to produce playable framerates is not what these functions should be used for, They should enhance the experience not be a requirement. Having RTX/Lumen not be a toggle in the menus too is weird considering that the UE5 version that BL4 seems to be using allows that to be toggled on or off with ease..
UE5 will go down in history as one of the worst engines ever and BL4 will be part of that history it seems.

We got Dead Space at home...

What happens when you take former devs of the Dead Space franchise, Have them make a new studio and give them free reign on what they make next!? You get Dead Space but worse.

The combat is jank, Enemies have random attack patterns and can cheap shot you mid animation and the story is an utter mess. The one thing it has going for it is the looks department and sometimes even then that fails it.

Dead Space Remake didn't kill any momentum this game had the game is bad enough to do that itself.
I don't recommend this game.

The Master Collection isn't the best way to play these games but its by far the easiest.

The Master Collection is a great entry point into the Metal Gear universe and with a few mods (Google is your friend) to fix a few oversights the devs of the collection forgot to include it can be made to be even better.

Numbered score: 9/10 game 7/10 collection quality

The only MMO I keep coming back too!

Guild Wars 2 respects your time and in the MMO landscape that's a rare thing.
You want to take a break don't worry you ain't gonna miss out because its all going to be there for you when you get back.
No power creep with everything being viable in its own way.
Story in the latest expacs isn't great but the dragon saga (Base, LW1, LW2, LW2, HoT, LW3, PoF, LW4, IBS, EoD) will give you hundreds of hours worth of good story and content to play and its all still viable too.

A constant battle between you the player and the game trying to yap you to death, Every little thing you do YAP YAP YAP.

If I hear Crispy Critters one more time I think I'm gonna have an aneurysm.

Seriously though, This game is a mess.
Enemies respawning near instantly to fill in its empty semi open world maps.
Weapons feeling pretty weak and the writing, oh god the writing, make this game such a chore to play.

I wish Steam Reviews gave a middling option instead of Thumbs up or Down.

This isn't Eternal and expecting anything like it will leave you disappointed but like me if you enjoy the slower pace of 2016's reboot compared to Eternal you'll enjoy the combat of TDA.
Overall I enjoyed my time with it but at a runtime of a little over 19hrs to 100% the game I can't help but feel a little cheated.

The difficulty sliders/adjustment you can do to fine tune everything from enemy health and damage to parry timing is a great QoL feature & change that will allow people with disabilities to enjoy the game more easily, Wish this came as standard for more games

With that said at full price I can't say with good conscience this is worth it but on 50% off sale or via Gamepass I can 100% recommended you giving this a shot.

Do I recommend this?: At a 50% sale sure (Or via Gamepass)
