To your question on the announcement "Early Access Release Notes - Version 0.6.4" for TerraTech, "Fallen blocks should despawn eventually. The mass of unused blocks on my world from battles lags my computer later in the game.".

Fallen blocks will despawn if there is no player tech or base 100 units from their location and have not been looked at or moved for 2 minutes... :steamhappy:
