This is so beautiful!
Just beat the first arcade and I already love this. I played A TON of Fighties 1, so I was familiar with what to expect. But the visuals are absolutely incredibly, I saw the screenshots and video, but when you get into your first fight, it's just wonderful. I'm unsure how to unlock characters so far, last time there was an in-game currency to do so, and as I said I beat the first Arcade and that didn't unlock anyone, so I'm not too sure about that part.

Biggest criticism, DO NOT put the "Delete Save" at the bottom of the Main Menu!!! Put it in Settings! And if you are going to put it in the Main Menu, put it ABOVE "Exit" not below it. The bottom item should basically always be Exit, not "DELETE Literally all your progress".

I didn't expect this game to ever release, I really hope this is PPG coming back to it and not a "well I guess I should just finally release it" because I'd love to see more Fighters in the future. It's well worth the money either way, but Fighties 1 had such a big roster, I'd love to see this one grow as well.

Anyway, now I'm done with this review so I can play more!

Private and Public Lobbies have been bugged since launch and despite months of updates, they've yet to fix the issue. No comment from the team about it despite multiple forum posts looking for fixes. 2 of my 3 friends have the issue,so it's a common problem. I can't recommend without a fix, and the silence on the issue is incredibly frustrating.

Free for All is the most casual way to play online but if I find a game it is typically after sitting in queue for ~5 minutes waiting for a match for anywhere within ~100 ms ping. There just aren't many playing the mode.

Ranked is difficult even at the lower levels. Due to lack of low ranked players, you'll often get matched with folks 100+ rank points higher. Along with that there are a fair amount of people who throw in order to stay low and stomp low ranked players. I love the gameplay and their constant addition of skins, but online is just not a great experience for the part that even works.

A fantastic game with SOOO much content. Races, Time Trials, Championships and all of that on both Point to Point and Lap style courses. I'm 14 hours in and I'm probably only a fourth of the way through all the content. The courses are varied and fun and there is different weather and day/night which is awesome.

The driving feels fantastic. It's an arcade style rally racer, but it still feels like a rally racer. You unlock upgrades for each car the more you play them, and there are a ~10+ cars to unlock with total drive time with any car.

There are also some really could difficulty controls, both directly (Easy, Medium, Hard, Dynamic) but then also in how much guidance is provided, drive lines, corner prompts, etc. I really think it's the perfect balance between too little and too much control over difficulty.

The multiplayer works great, a friend picked it up with me and we were able to hop into a game together and race quick and simple. I also LOVE that there is an opportunity to turn collision on or off for multiplayer races. I enjoyed being able to try and bully my friends car when we had it on but then also really see who was best at a time trial style of race with collision off. It's amazing to be able to do both easily.

Two small complaints, nothing major, but they are there:
-I don't really feel that big of a difference based on which car I drive, and since they all get the same type of upgrades, even though they have the same starting stats, you can get them to all the same place pretty quick. You could just stick with one car and upgrade it from Class D to A and use it for every race. So there isn't any real incentive to drive more than one car. Maybe for folks who are more into driving sims they notice the differences more, but since this is more arcadey it's hard to notice, personally I don't really at least. So I really wish there was more of an incentive to use new cars. When you already have one maxed out in a class, say like the best Class D car, then it feels bad to switch to a bottom of the barrel class D with no upgrades since you're unlikely to get 1st or Gold times, so you know you'll have to race the same race again once you unlock the upgrades. Why would I take the time to do that with a new car when I could just get a good time or win with the Class D I already have at the top of that Class?

-The turns are called out with an "Easy, Medium, Hard [Left/Right]" instead of the typical 1-6 rating (which Brownmonster LImited used in Rush Rally 3). I know the game is more arcade-y, but the system is pretty intuitive, these rally games are really the first I've played, and I learned it in Rush Rally 3 pretty quickly. I wish the number system was used here too, or available within the options menu, because it is A TON more informative, and would be especially useful when I play without any cornering assistance.

But, as I said, those are very small complaints, overall it is a fantastic game, I can't recommend it enough! 9/10

I'd love to play this game if it would actually open.
I've tried everything I could find, reinstalling, verifying cache, going in and launching from admin, manually updating the anti-cheat. None of it works. It's been probably 4 months since I've been able to run it. I try every once and awhile, and it never works, it boots and then shuts down EVERY TIME

Absolutely Fantastic! SuperMeatBoy is my favorite game of all time, and this is similar in so many ways: primarily with the tightness of the controls and the focus on speed. Each level has a collectibles goal and a speedrun goal which you can complete individually, or together for an even higher score. There is a global leaderboard for scores which aggregate for all levels. I'm currently 32 levels in (of what appears to be 52 levels), so the game is not extremely long overall. I expect I'll have everything perfected in 8-10 hours, but don't let that dissuade you, it's well worth the price tag for this level of polish. Beyond gameplay, the art is wonderful and the sound design is fantastic. Overall, highly recommend for anyone who is interested in platformers, and HIGHLY recommend for anyone who enjoys platform speedrunning or time trials.

Also, there is a Hardcore Mode that has you attempting to beat the entire game with only 7 lives. Which would be an amazing feat to achieve.

Game is quick with limited content. But it does what it says on the box. Also, the music slaps. (People rate it positively because they can get a ton of achievements)

Game is fantastic.
Battle Pass XP is extremely slow, so unless you are playing this as a part time job, I'd pass on the Pass. On the plus side, you can get premium items from the regularly earned crates, so that's a plus.

Fighties is similar to Towerfall or Square Brawl. The game has an awesome set of fighters, about half of which you have to unlock through a fairly random arcade style crane game. Most of the fighters have unique move sets with a matching look.
The game boasts three modes. A typical versus mode (both off and online), two arcade modes that put in a series of 1v1, group, and boss battles, and a survival mode that can be played single player or co-op, where you go against waves of enemies in increasing difficulty.
This is the time of game where each fighter is unique enough that I'm going to try and beat the arcade mode with each and every one.
I haven't sunk that much time in the game so far but I felt the need to review already. Arcade is a great mode for solo play, and although it isn't incredibly long, the uniqueness in characters and difficulty settings offers the replayability that one would want. And with both co-op and versus modes, this is a great game to play with friends.
The only downsides I've found are in enemy AI, at times on the easier mode they do not play competitively and do somewhat confusing things. This does not happen often and I've only seen it on easy difficult, so it is nothing to worry about.
The way you unlock characters is somewhat frustrating due to the fact that you will get various items MANY times before you'll get a hero, but to be fair that does make the times you get a new hero feel even better, and with a large roster to fill it leaves for many characters to win.

Fighties was made by only two people as I saw when I beat the arcade mode the first time and the shortest credits I've seen in my life came up. These two did an amazing job and at its current price ($5) I think you'd be hard pressed to spend your money in a better place.

This is a simple platformer.
However it is a platformer that sets itself apart from others.
I am one who loves difficult platformers like Super Meat Boy and They Bleed Pixels for their difficulty level. Thomas Was Alone is not near as difficult as these games, but that in no way holds it back. Thomas Was Alone has something that most great platformers don't, and that's an amazing story.
I care more about these pixels than I ever have for other characters.
Between the amazing and enlightening narraration, the beautiful simplicity of the graphics, the overarching story and plot, and most of all, the characters that are just simple blocks in shape but have more heart than a masterpiece of pixels could have.

The game is short, but so is Thomas, and that holds neither of them back.
