Inspired by VA-11 Hall-A, this drink- (and food-) making game contains a surprising amount of gameplay for a small indie game, as well as a light, but still interesting, narrative. There is good pacing for the challenge in gameplay and isn't ever too hard -- or too easy, either. While the game doesn't break barriers in terms of innovation of the speedy serving genre, the mechanics and gameplay are still very fun and well done. if you like these types of games, it is more than worth full price, which is a sentiment I rarely give out.

This game is incredibly fun. I used to be addicted to gambling, and my wife said that if I kept "throwing away" our money, she would leave me. Well, to pass the time, I decided to try Untrusted. After beating the n00bs in so many games, my addiction has completely gone away, and my wife and I finally have a sex life again. Untrusted saved my marriage.

NOTE: I also really enjoyed the DLC where the game would do my taxes for me. The dev should definitely be doing more of that kind of content!

This game gives me mixed feelings. The good thing about this game is that it offers a lot of content for the cheap price tag. For $2 (USD), you get about five and a half hours of gameplay, which includes the cutscenes and two endings for each of the eight characters. The bad thing about this game is in the content itself: the gameplay is average and underdeveloped, the stories and writing are bad, and the "sex scenes" in the game are almost exclusively r4pe.
(Edited because of Steam's censorship policies regarding "bad words.")

Bulletpoints:

1. Gameplay
The gameplay itself, matching gems, is pretty standard. It's not bad, but it's not much improved from the Bejeweled series this game takes inspiration from. There are four gems to match: Physical, which causes a physical attack on your opponent; Magical, which causes a magical attack; Health, which heals you; and then Rage, which raises your "Rage" level and causes your attacks to be stronger. Outside of these gems, there are certain potions you can use once during the battle that do different things depending on the ones you choose. Alongside, you can purchase different upgrades for the gems as you earn money.
Here's the problem: You may think that some characters may be weaker or stronger against Physical attacks or Magical attacks. No--instead, both Magical and Physical attacks do the exact same thing to all characters. There is no need to have the two gems be two different gems except to fill space.
Aside from this, the game is relatively easy. It was no challenge at all and almost all of the upgrades went completely unused. The last and hardest character to fight, Martha, was only hard because she was a healer and would continuously heal herself and, eventually, I would run out of moves. But even she did not take long to completely defeat.

2. Writing
Each character has her own story. Each setting is different, each society is different, and each person you, the player, play as, is different--the only exception to the latter is that there are several times that you play as a demon, and it gets old.
I'm not sure if it's the writing itself or perhaps this game has a poor translation, but the writing is not great nor interesting whatsoever. No storyline captivated me, and most stories are chalked full of typical anime cliches. Now, I'm aware that people likely don't buy this game for the actual plot. But good plots do help make any kind of game better, and this is simply not the case in Mirror. You'll find yourself yawning quite a bit.
Each character has two different endings depending on what you choose to do during the sex scenes. There are the "Pleasure" endings, which are the good endings, and the "Pain" endings, which are the bad endings. There are a few exceptions where the Pain endings were, in my view, better than the Pleasure endings, but otherwise, the endings fit their names. The endings are VERY different from each other, so don't expect "slight" differences like in most games with low budgets.

3. Sex Scenes
Regardless, whether you play as a demon wanting to corrupt and murder women, an explorer who wants to learn more about the Orc species, a woman who yearns for divinity, or a fat otaku at Anime Expo, almost all of the storylines end with your character r4ping the woman. Out of the eight women total who are included in the base game, there is only one woman who is not assaulted and r4ped.
The women scream, beg for you to stop, and cry. Almost all of them are tied up so that they cannot move or escape. In the very first storyline, you tie down a thief who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. In the sex scene within, while she asks you to untie her and to have mercy upon her, you can choose to be gentle or rough with her sexually. If you're gentle, you get the Pleasure ending, where she sticks around with you and has sex with you again.
In the Pain ending, however, you tie her up once more and give her to the servants of a king she previously stole from. Your character tells them to either kill her or, if they wish to free her, the servants must "have their way with her" for thirty minutes before setting her free. They take the latter option and r4pe her until she passes out, but continue to assault her while she's unconscious anyway (and passing out during sex and the sex continuing after is very common in this game).
Aside from the r4pe, the game seems to believe that all women can and will squirt, as well as produce milk from their breasts even before they have a child. Many of the physical positions the women find themselves in either subtly or blatantly show the lack of knowledge in proper female anatomy. There is a distinct lack of body diversity in the game. This is not necessarily a totally bad thing, but if you cover the women's faces, the bodies are the same. If you're into small t!ts, I have bad news for you, because all the women have gigantic bungalows.
Most of the nudity in this game is censored. This is because Steam has strict rules in regards to adult content. Nipples are covered with cartoon flowers and ^aginas, d!cks, and d!ldos are censored with a blushing cartoon bunny. Both censor markings are very jarring and do not align with the art style of the game at all, and can ruin immersion. Otherwise, there is still a lot you can see, hear, and do--and the stuff that you cannot see, well, there just isn't much left to the imagination.

If you're looking for a Huniepop substitute until the sequel comes out, and if the sex scenes don't bother you/are your thing, you may enjoy this game. But enjoying the sex scenes, which is what this game is all about, was very difficult for me to simply overlook the fact that these women did NOT want to have consensual sex with me. If I wanted to play a game like that, I would just walk outside.

Let's discuss this train wreck of a game.

Let's start out with the good things about this game.

A.1: It's an interesting inventory management sim, and building onto your car is fun and rewarding.

A.2: The game is in many languages.

That's all the good things about this game.

I'm not going to sit here all day to list all the bugs (both minor and game breaking) I encountered within ~6 hours of gameplay. If I did, I would rather just publish the novel. Let's list out the other bad things about this game that would still persist even if most/all of the bugs were patched (keep in mind I have not finished the story, nor do I intend to, because you won't either. I uninstalled this game for good and have already tried to refund this, but to no avail since I have too many hours on it).

B.1: One of my biggest complaints of this game is that the world is so. empty. There are two characters in this game: You and your uncle. The other characters are the gas station attendant, the Laika store attendant, the Motel attendant, and the Border Attendant. They all say the same two or three lines and are just stand ins for you to be able to progress. You cannot interact with them at all.

Your character has no personality, and so that just leaves Uncle. He has a bit of a one, and has multiple lines of dialogue. Every once in awhile, during the trip, he'll say a thing or two about the weather, the political enviroment, things that have changed since he was last in whatever country you're currently in, etc. He also (barely) reacts to the car hitting bumps or other obstacles.

Besides those things, he's still a very empty character. You don't really grow to like him because, for the most part, he just sits in the car silently.

B.2: Also, the world itself is empty. When you're not in town (which is most of the time), there are trees, a couple roads, and sometimes even plants. It's not detailed at all, it doesn't look nice, and it's boring. Occasionally, you'll pass by a car that you can't interact with at all--except for standing in front of it, which doesn't make the driver stop to your presence at all. It's actually a handy tool if your car is broken down and you need to get to a town, because that car will keep on going and you can ride the hood of it for miles. It's probably the most fun thing about this game, to be honest.

When you're in town, you have the aforementioned Gas Station, Laika Store, Motel, and Border crossing. Otherwise, the town is full of the same two buildings you can't interact with at all (except for knocking on the doors). There are no people. You don't even see cars in the town. It looks like a long abandoned Roblox world except you can at least play Roblox with your 12 year old friends and you can jump on stuff.

B.3: The story is told through snooping through your Uncle's suitcase to read a new letter he (mysteriously) gets every day. It's like Amnesia: The Dark Descent's letter reading except with no narration, good writing, or anything. It's lazy and boring.

B.4: This may seem like a minor complaint, but the days are WAY too short. I once spent an entire day at a gas station, and drove 400 some km (30ish minutes of real time) in the dark. Even starting my day after visiting the gas station, picking a shorter route (most are 200-250 km), and having no car trouble, I'm lucky to get to the Motel before midnight. Days should at the VERY least be 10 (real time) minutes longer. AT LEAST. I don't mind driving in the dark a bit, but when 96% of the game is dark, it's awful.

B.5: The controls are relatively poop. You walk faster diagonally than straight. There's no run button despite walking being a necessary evil of the game. Driving on rough terrain feels... slippery (shouldn't it be the opposite?). Clicking on certain objects (like your trunk, baskets, etc.) is a pain in the ass from small click boxes. The rest of the controls are decent.

B.6: This is may seem minor, but it's a huge inconvenience. There is no wallet toggle button. Your wallet is stored in the glove compartment in your car, and has to be put back there when you're finished, and will also be put there upon pressing the Drop button.

Now, here's the thing. Imagine that your car broke down. It sucks. The nearest town is 40 km away, and you can only walk there. Imagine traveling for 10 (real time) minutes, getting to the store, and forgetting your wallet. I know this seems like a user error--and it technically is--but it will happen so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times to you. That'll take 40 real time minutes when it could've only taken you 20.

B.7: The game, especially the enviroment, aren't detailed or polished looking. Yes, I know, the game's art style is supposed to be simplistic. But none of it looks polished. "That Dragon, Cancer" has a very, very similar style to Jalopy, and it looks beautiful. This game, however, doesn't.

Example: The taller trees look exactly the same as the shorter trees except that they obviously elongated the trunks. They didn't even put more leaves on them. They're tall ass sticks with a tiny christmas tree at the top.

Example 2: Most of the stores look exactly the same inside and out. The motel rooms are exactly the same except some have more room than others, but otherwise, same furniture, arrangement, everything.

It's all so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy.

B.8: And, of course, the bugs. I said I wasn't gonna mention the bugs, but you have to know that this game has more bugs than a regular beta early release game. You CANNOT go through your first (or second, or third) playthrough without encountering at least 5 or more. It's not like these bugs are scarce or you have to do certain things to make them happen. These are bugs that play testers--not just them, actually, just even the developers--would have found (and I bet $100 they did anyway). It's blatantly obvious that the developers did not care about their players or their game. It's an embarrasment.

The game is a hot mess, and it's a shame, because this game has so. much. potential. And that's probably the saddest, and worst, part of it all. I love management games, especially ones that let you travel to so many different places, ESPECIALLY places with different cultures (that the game also never explores, which it should, because it would make every town unique and interesting). This is a cute game with a cute idea, and would be a perfect game to have a Steam Workshop to go along with it (it doesn't as of this moment), but it's just SO bad, SO awful, SO buggy, that even paying $2 is too much.

Don't buy this game, and until the developers get their ♥♥♥♥ together, I would strongely advise you to not buy any of their past or future games, either. And this is all coming from somebody who enjoyed Skyward Sword.
