This hits a very specific niche: noir love story for those who appreciate quantum mechanics and also jazz. A beautiful marriage of music and visual storytelling.

This is everything a sequel should be. A direct improvement upon every single aspect of the original. Tighter gunplay, better level design, better story. It's hard to imagine this game came out in 2003 because it still looks and plays great.

as dated as this game is, it is impressive how well the gameplay mechanics have held up. the gameplay loop is exceedingly simple. you run and gun, dive and roll, and slow time to dodge bullets and kill enemies. the game's story is easily its weakest part. it drags on at times and has way too much is happening. it was Sam Lake's first writing job, so to be expected. anyways, this game is a fun classic.

dont play if you have a phobia of worms or parasites. your character will be covered in leeches and bug bites constantly

This game is an incredible narrative journey with amazing combat. It's not a very long game, so if you have a few hours sit down, put on some headphones, and enjoy Senua's story.

This game is cinema. I liked Jan and Jan, but Jan enraged me. I have to say out of all the characters I liked Jan the most.
