This game is actually peak. This was easily the best telltale-like game I've ever played, with great storytelling, dialogue, characters, and setting. The minigame is pretty fun as well and starts pretty simple and stays that way for most of the season, but gets pretty involved by the last episode. The game fires on all cylinders for every episode and exudes charm from every pore. My only complaints are that I had 2 crashes in the entire time I played the game, and that it's only about an hour per each of the 8 episodes. Still worth the money for sure. Best enjoyed blind

This game is such an authentic D&D experience that my party didn't even finish the game due to scheduling and one person bailed out halfway through.

A fantastic game that takes heavy inspiration from man-against-nature city-builder survival games like Frostpunk, Ixion ends up exploring similar gameplay concepts in a way that more often than not is just as successful as its peers. Make no mistake, this is not a city-builder in the vein of Cities Skylines or a Banished clone, but one that very much has failure states.

When the game first came out, there was a lot of complaints about the difficulty. I think a large part of that comes from the fact that the marketing material heavily references standard gameplay fare for city-builders, but doesn't emphasize just how intense the survival element is. Ixion is through-and-through a survival strategy game with a city-builder varnish on top of it. It also has probably one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a sci-fi game in years. The composer, Guillaume David, absolutely knocked it out of the park with this game, and really helps sell the atmosphere that this is a space odyssey with existential stakes.

The complaints about difficulty led to the company making dramatic steps over the last few months to rework their game to allow for the inclusion of difficulty system that was just implemented today. I really have to give Bulwark credit because this is a really good system that allows for a lot of customization that does wonders to make the game more accessible to players, not only at the start of the game, but at any point while playing, since custom difficulty settings can be changed on the fly during your play-through. I can easily recognize just how much work was put in to get this new system working in a way that makes everyone happy. If you were thinking of playing Ixion in the past, but were put off by the complaints people had about the difficulty, I would highly recommend checking it out now.

Early Access Review
I've wasted over 4 days of my life playing this game I plan to keep wasting them. Easily one of the best building games I've ever played. The constant struggle to expand logistics end up making it a game that requires great creative thinking and problem solving, and it's a lot of fun with friends.

SOMA is an interesting game that touches on some of the most fundemental parts of psychology and self-identification. It may not be the most pleasing game on the eye, or the deepest narrative, but it touches on things in a way that makes the player have to sit down and think.
