- AI on lowest difficulty pulls gold and troops out its @$$. Like it was holding in diarrhea until the round started, just to start defecating straight into my eyes.
- Its 3D, but looks like donkey sh*t compared to its predecessor. If you zoom out, you will find the game looks like my hairy @$$, if I didn't wipe it for 3 years.
- Farms are a major downgrade. They turned my beautiful apple orchards into outhouses. I get it, FireFly didn't have anywhere else to place their sh*t. The same sh*t I had the displeasure of stepping into, by playing this game.
- You know the economy mechanics got f*cked when you have to place 30 wood camps to buy a dumb@$$ windmill.
- Whats with the habit of releasing sequels with less features? Why remove fear factor? I got this game so my peasants can fear their mighty king. You think we didn't like spamming nooses? Now the only thing left to fear is future titles from Firefly.
- The UI is somehow worst than the previous game. It might be "more modern", but I find it harder to navigate. Like how did the developers make it harder finding the granary than finding the cl*toris in modern dating? I'm playing games cause I got no ho's, and now, I got no granary. No ho's for me and no food for my peasants? Now all I can hear is "The people 'loathe' you Sire." and "The ho's are leaving the castle my lord!"
- "Bit much these taxes" : Why is this game $40 in 2025? I got a Key for $4 dollars on G2A, but now I can't refund it. I would have glazed the keep with my brains if I couldn't refund this game after spending $40.
- "Wood needed" : This game is lacking in features and polish. Maps are lack luster, lacking any detail. I guess you will run out a gold fast when you set your budget that low. No troops, no walls, and no ho's. That's how you lose the game. That's how firefly lost their place on the pedestal. This is some bottom feeder work firefly.
Rating: 0/10 castles

So what is Road Craft about? Road Craft is not about traversing rough terrain with trucks and other vehicles, that is Snow Runner. Road Craft, is about using heavy vehicles to restore infrastructure using the resources from the land. So any critiques involving Road Craft not being a good sequel to Snow Runner is obviously unfair and quite full of sh*t.

So the question is, does the Road Craft demo do "restoring infrastructure" game play well? I don't think so. Don't get me wrong, it has cool mechanics such as building custom roads and bridges almost anywhere, but those very mechanics lack depth for game centered around restoring infrastructure. For example, laying cables and roads have no unique challenges other than clearing a path. Building bridges is limited to placing them over gaps and then dropping off supplies so they can build themselves. Other infrastructure involves repairing pipes by placing pipes in pipe gaps. For a SIMULATION game, it simulates restoring infrastructure like my literal sh*t simulates an appetizing meal.

Another important theme of the game is heavy vehicles. So far, none of the heavy vehicles feel heavy. Detailed and immersive engine audio of heavy vehicles are absent, much like Saber Interactive's father. While tracked vehicles like to slide around like I slide into the dms of Saber Interactive's mom. The "heavy" vehicles trip up on logs and small trees, instead of plowing through them like I plowed Saber Interactive's sister. Saber, why do you have an incessant need to cuck every powerful vehicle in every game you release?

There is one more topic I'd like to discuss. Road Craft is having an identity crisis. The developers clearly want Road Craft to be a different game from Snow Runner series, but they obviously are taking some elements from snow runner like the mud and its hardships, just without the depth. While at the same time, not fully committing to this "new" direction, aka road crafting. Saber, you have limited man power and resources, if you have one foot in the mud and one foot on pavement, both are gonna be sh*t. Figure out what you want the game to be and make it good at just that. For f**ks sake please don't make this game just another gimmicky blow job.

One more thing, Saber, you got a lot of work to do. Push back the release date.

Other issues not worth discussing in detail because this is a "early access" demo:
Poor optimization
Buggy
Issues with steering wheel
Multiplayer disconnection issues
Saber's insatiable thirst for console players

Look at a solid 4-6 hrs of game play videos to see what this game is actually like, because that's the time its takes to realize that washing the dishes is more suspenseful than playing this boring half-assed slop, well past the 2 hr refund policy.

The whole diving down the glory hole and not getting blown by the hoard seems suspenseful at first. But the game play
narrows down to sneaking around and playing "fetch all the key cards" like the good little dog wh*re you are. Just about as suspenseful as wiping your own ass.

Don't trust positive reviews and don't buy this dog water.
